I've read a few of the PGC threads and it inspired me to do my own.

I'm not exactly new to poker but don't know if I'd consider myself 'professional' in the past. I started about 6 years ago and deposited $100. Over the years I've pulled out over $40,000, and always expected to be a winner in the stakes I played, but it wasn't really a sole income or anything. Usually I'd start at nl10, work my way up to nl100, grind there for a while, then pull out a bunch of money, and quit for 6 months before doing it all over again.

After going to college, dropping out, apprenticing as an electrician for a few years I decided to go back to college, and then university for an accounting diploma, and a finance degree. Currently just a few courses to graduate. The crappy thing is, the closer I get to graduation the less excited I become about the prospect of working 50-60 hours a week in an entry level job.

Since I still have a bit of time while taking a few course for the next while I figure why not take 1 last shot at doing something I truly enjoy instead of grabbing some crappy part time job.

I transferred most of my roll over to Bovada, but kept a few hundred on stars for donking around in the odd tourney. I usually only 4 table anyways, so figure might as well play with a softer field on Bovada. The plan atm is to aim for nl200-nl400 range, but I have my work cut out for me because I've only left myself with a $265 roll. So far since starting back at nl10 I've played 6895 hands in 4 days, and am up to $365. Also up $700 from playing some tourney's last weekend. I might deposit some of that to jump up stakes a little quicker, but we'll see how it goes first. Going to be a long journey, hopefully it goes well.

I'll post graphs and what not as soon as I get something to import hands into pokertracker. Currently just keeping track in excel.

Cheers!

December 04- $365

Well, I decided to deposit $225 of my live tournament winnings. So, that moves me up to NL25 a little quicker and gives a little leeway to take a shot without having to move down if I lose a bit.

I played 400 hands so far today. Was down 4 BI's right off the bat. Finished down 1.25 BI's. Sure feels like a lot more than 4 BI's when you just move up, and reaaallllly don't want to move back down, lol.

K10>AA AIPF,
910> JJ in 3 bet pot all in on 9 high flop.
99>AK AIPF

Couple other ones that I forget. Wish I could import to pokertracker right away to see what the big pots were.

Going to watch the Raps vs. Cavs game, then prob play later.

Well that was a **** show of a day. Was -6.5 BI's after moving up to nl25, but managed to get back to -4.5 BI's and quit while the damage wasn't bad. Always happens when you move up I guess, haha.

Lost 4 BI's to a a 95/5 guy that kept hitting trips with stuff like 73s vs my KK, AA, AK, etc... in 3 bet pots. Also pretty sure I lost every flip AIPF today.

Even the ones I won were not easiest. Rough day.

I've been trying to not post beats, but even though it's a small pot this summarizes how things have been going.
