I've been playing poker for approx. 2 years now (lurking this forum about the same time), but don't post often. I decided to make a PG&C thread because I would like to keep track of my progress, and post HH's of hands where I am stumped. Welcome to the show!
I currently only play 1/2 NL. I try to play at least 3 times a week since I have a lot of free time, but putting in the hours has always been tough for me. This year I have accumulated somewhere in the range of 450 hours. I am pretty much a 5bb/hr winner at these stakes with this sample (not much of one, I know) and hope to increase that throughout this thread.
I'm starting this thread with a 5k bankroll. I'm hoping downswings are no worse than 5-10 BI's but who knows what is to come. I will be playing consistently at Casino Niagara, and also sometimes if I feel like a weekend getaway will go to AC or Montreal.
My goals this year don't really consist of much. Probably number 1 focus is to try to accumulate 400 hours. Also, building the bankroll to 10k is another priority. Anyways, thanks for coming in to check it out.

First session didn't go so well. -$320 over 4 hours. Only one real notable hand from the session.
Hero is dealt KK on SB.
UTG is an older reg who buys in for 60 every single time, and is usually willing to stack off with TPGKish type hands. (130ish behind)
Button I have never seen before, but he just sat down and has won a few hands without showdown. (200 behind)
I have both covered.
UTG limps, CO limps, Button limps.
I raise to 15, UTG and Button call.
Flop: 10 9 3 r
I check, UTG checks, button makes it 15. I raise to 50, UTG calls and button folds.
At this point UTG has approx 65 behind.
Turn: J
I ship, he snaps and his set of 9's hold up.
Now alarms were going off in my head when he called the 50 on the flop, but there is no way I am ever folding here even if I check and he ships. Am I shipping/calling the remaining 65 off on almost any card? Would enjoy your guys input.

Decent session tonight, +$156 over 5 hours. No real memorable hands, pretty card dead the whole night. Only one decent sized pot.
Hero in MP with AA (300ish)
SB is quite aggressive but has been folding to raises. He has been opening the action pre to 17-21 all night relentlessly. He has me covered.
Folded to me, I raise to 15, SB calls, rest fold.
Flop: Jd 9c 3s
He elects to lead out for 35, I call.
Turn: 4 d
Villain bets 55, I call.
River A o
Villain checks, I bet 125. Villain folds.

Not a bad but not a good session tonight. -$136 over 4.5 hours.
Ran a bluff and villain somehow called with almost the complete bottom of his range, baffled me.
Villain is OMC type player, have played with him a few times before, seems pretty easy to get off decent holdings.
Hero OTB with A2o
Villain in BB.
Folded around to Hero, Hero makes it 10. BB calls.
Flop: Qs 4s 7x
Hero bets 15, Villain calls.
Turn: 3x
Hero bets 25, Villain calls.
River: 7s
Hero bets 45, Villain calls and shows 64dd???????? NH NH.
Thought for sure he would fold Qx on river but apparently not. Oh well, get em next time!
Will be back on the tables on Wednesday!
