Thanks!

I actually think I botched the interview kinda badly despite preparing for it because I haven't done one in almost 4 years now... I've got my fingers crossed that I did "well enough" to get to the next step though. Kept forgetting to take my time with hard questions and just said the first thing that came to mind, and was too busy answering hard questions that I forgot to play up my strengths.

They only asked me 1 math/logic type question which was the only question I felt good about (degrees between hands at 6:30 on an analog clock).

Oh well. We'll see what happens.

So I haven't played in exactly 1 week now and it feels like it's been freaking forever.

Going to play on Live at the Bike tomorrow to make up for the lack of poker in this thread.

Which job can you make more money. Live pro or gamer? I used to be a gamer. Definitely would rather do both. But capped at 6 hours a day. Not 8 hrs.

What answer did you use? 0 would be obvious but i would feel better about 359.9 because no clock is perfect and the points will most likely not meet at 6:30 but more like 6:29 and 58 seconds.

I thought 15 degrees too.

At 6.30, the minute hand is on the 6 and the hour hand is half-way between 6 and 7. So, question is now how many degrees that is. 360 degrees in a circle, and 12 numbers, so 30 degrees between each number. Half of that is 15.

Aseah - Awesome thread, I've always lurked but never had anything add before today. I have a good office job, but often daydream about doing what you're doing. Not for me, since I have a wife and son and another on the way, and am not good enough at poker to feed them all, but nice to see others living their dreams.

You guys are right... I didnt think of it like that at all.

The hour hand would have moved (or should have moved) 15* from the minute hand when its half way through the hour.

I was leveling myself into thinking that at 6:30 both would point down. But I was wrong.

I guess 15* is the most educated guess based on this but there has to more to this? No?

Yea it's a simple question but can trick people who forget the hour hand moves.

Going to play my first poker session in 8 days... LATB in 5 hours too. Tune in!

From UTG, table too active and I had gotten 3-bet four times out of the last five hands I opened. Didn't want to 4-bet preflop or play a 3-bet pot OOP with TT due to playability factors (often going to be an underpair despite a preflop equity advantage vs. range). Seems pretty standard (although raise is more standard obv).

Up $1284 in 7 hours, about $900 from PLO and $400 from LATB. Ummm... had quite a few very really interesting hands on LATB... I'm re-watching it now.

I tried to talk to Tuckman after the show about our hand. He couldn't even say anything about it. My guess is he really ripped into us on the show. lol.

Cannot wait to watch it.

PS this PLO game is amazing.

Heh they didn't really say anything interesting on that hand. Surprised the commentators found my 4-bet shove on the flop with 99 on 872r "standard" as well, we had some history before the show started that made me do that but they didn't see that. Meh.

After crunching the numbers, you need 27% to call my 5-bet, so it's pretty close, you actually can 4-bet/fold here if my range is ridiculously tight (which could be reasonable if I'm 5-betting and expecting no fold equity). You have 29% vs AA/KK/QQ/AK so yea it's gotta be pretty tight though lol, but again we aren't calculating the numbers correctly on the table a lot too. At least if I shoved pre I would have the peace of mind of getting it in good

Very interesting moment where it's 3-way, I lead with absolutely no equity (J5 no clubs on K86ccc), JCW flats, 3rd guy grabs chips in his hand, kinda moves them forward as if he's about to raise so I move my hand towards the muck but then he mucks his hand first!!! Sick live tell but luckily JCW doesn't notice and I manage to bluff him off a flopped two pair on a very scary board runout.

Got 4-bet 3 times during LATB... called vs 64 and folded vs. AA and KK. Good job on that I suppose... might be 3-betting too much though. Haven't played poker in long enough that I'm feeling lost, need to get back into the swing of it.

I'm just a micro-tournament player from the UK; I don't understand all the jargon, and neither do I dissect all the hands (since I know cash plays a lot differently to tourneys, and big-staked players play differently to the ones I play). But the human psychology is fascinating to me and I read this thread every day. The early post on playing Omaha has got me quite excited and I'm going to give it a try.
Brilliant thread Aesah.

Thanks! Please feel free to ask me to clarify any of the jargon, even I see stuff on 2+2 where I have to stop and either look it up and be like... huh (for example, just yesterday someone was talking about a button MR steal and it took a bit for me to figure out that meant min-raise steal).

Down $807 in 6 hours, lost a $4000 flip with QT98ds vs AAJ7r. Ummmm nothing particularly memorable... except there was a string of 5 hands in a row (literally back to back to back) where me and this other guy had about $500 and action would go one of us raises to $50, several callers, other jams, everyone folds and we ran it twice and chopped it. Free dead money...

LA total: $59577, 394 hours.

Happy Birthday!

Were you playing last night? Thought I saw you walk by my table a couple of times, but hard to tell unless I was 12 feet tall and had the same angle as LATB - didn't want to frighten my table by shouting "Aesah?!"
