I find a mistake I make is picking a hand I beat and justifying calling because of that. I now try to think about how much of his range I can beat in a spot. There are always going to be hands you beat that could justify calling but it leads to us calling down far too wide.
The hand was a while ago but I remember thinking he could play KJ this way, and before the river he's certainly playing Ax flush/combo draws that way, Tx with draws. IIRC there were 2 flush draws possible on the turn. He also had position on me since i was in the blinds and he was late position raiser after some limps. Possibly I could have just found a fold pre or 3bet but I thought even out of position im ahead alot of his range there that calling would be ok to keep hands in his range im ahead of.
