Been playing spin&golds on GG for a couple of months now and would like to keep some sort of track record. I always admired rakeback/ high volume grinders and I might have found a format that will let me join them.

Once I found this beautiful program that allows me to play stacked and with my xbox controller, I picked up the volume because this format doesn't look like it's profitable pre-rakeback. Currently, I am playing on the 5$ stake and stack 12 tables. I play the 1 hour gold challenge which pays $7, I clear two of those in just over an hour. I think my cev of 24 is right about break even EV wise, so the profit comes from the rakeback.

Aiming for 20k games on 5s and then decide if I want to add 10s or move to 10s. For now I keep a 200 buy-in bankroll, not entirely sure if that's enough (for 5s I think it is).

Struggles/ questions:
- It's hard to keep my thoughts from running away during playing, and sometimes I move in to auto-pilot clicking too fast. Music could be an aid but lyrics distract (sometimes) and Hz frequencies are bothering me after 30 minutes or so. Any ideas? I have noise cancelling devices, too, but the silence also makes my mind run. I also have days where I seem to not think, and play with my heart? If that makes sense. I love those days.

- Bankroll management, anyone have some tips?

- Goal setting, any book recommendations or tips? My goal now is just "to play as much as I can" and withdraw as often as I can lmao.

October now over, played just under 60 hours, total of 7k games. October was decent, managed to cash out just over 1.5k.

Goal for September is to schedule playing time week by week. Really want to get rid of this feeling of "having to grind as much as possible" which makes me lethargic sometimes. The plan is to play 20 to 25 hours a week and plan in advance as I think this will give me some more headspace. This week:
Monday 2 hours
Tuesday 5 hours
Wednesday 3 hours
Thursday off
Friday 3 hours
Saturday 5 hours
Sunday 5 hours

Got my ass handed to me today on 10s, don't think its worth it before platinum whale status so will probably stay away until I reach that status as that will pay 50% rakeback. Bankroll just below $400, back to 5s

which SW do you use to play stacked with a xbox controller? I guess Jurojin?
I used to also try playing stacked but had the problem that sometimes tables did not show up properly on top, especially on GGpoker.

Playing fives with 16 cev and 80 bin roll sounds pretty stupid tbh. Would recommend atleast 200 bins because the swings can be pretty brutal in this format. Also you know that the promised 50% is at best 25% with pvi and more like 15%.



You should try intuitive tables it's way better.

@emceerob I use Intuitive Tables, which I too highly recommend. The support/ dev is nice too, they help in case you run into issues setting up the software to your preferences. I have zero issues of tables not popping up. I can go into my setup in more detail if you'd want to copy it

@ImePaskaa in my first post you can read that I use a 200 buyin bankroll for 5s and my cev is 23 not 16, tried to play 10s and then got hammered down xD I can re-deposit easily because this is not my main source of income but just trying to get back to 1k bankroll so I can withdraw everything over 1k. Which is kinda dumb too maybe.... focusing on the $$$ probably hurting motivation etc, might have to look into changing my approach there too. Are you sure about the pvi though? I never calculated my pvi btw, I just assume I get ****ed anyway

My bad my bad. And yeah pvi is at best 0.5. Just play one game and check how many points you get. You should get 100 / raked dollar so in fives 40 points. Better regs have something like 0.2 pvi. So you can basically forget about the buffet rb and grind for lbs and challenges. Well not forget about it but keep in my mind it's way less than promised.

12.5 fish points per $5 game.

I grind the $7.09 one hour challenge, don't think I can up my 1 hour gold challenge but perhaps could look into other hour goals with higher rewards. Ideas?

Also, although today you observe a certain pvi, this is not constant, and you might be surprised (or not) finding that tomorrow's has increased/decreased. Personally I love the site (cash game traffic, tourneys, graphics), but when it comes to transparency regarding rakeback, they are truly the worst. At least 888 tells us straight from the beginning that they give us (almost) nothing back.

That sounds about right for the pvi and no not really any ideas. Don't know how much of a difference it makes which challenge you grind. The advertised return is a "scam" also because you need to play like hundreds or some other higher stake and win every game to get the promised up to percent.

They have pretty good rb for snap though.

I'll try and leave it at peace, not much to gain from overthinking and analyzing this PVI stuff. Back to grinding !

yeah would be cool if you can go a bit into details. how do you handle tables which time out? for regging you use the intuitivetable shortcut for rejoining after a spin ended?

How do you mean time out? The classic time out as in you didn't perform an action call/fold/check and therefore got timed out? Because that never happens to me. I can play 16 tables without timing out but with 16 stacked tables the mind quickly gets overwhelmed xD
If you mean time out as in you lost/won the spin and want to re-enter a new one that's a different scenario.

I have a 3 place stack set-up: one in the middle (main stack) one top right (new table stack) one bottom right (notification detection stack)

It works like this: table opens and moves to top right, on first action needed moves to the back of the main stack and pops in front after you done all urgent decisions. When you lost/won there is a notification so it gets detected and table moves to the bottom right, I "switch focus" by clicking hotkey to the right, press hotkey for re-enter spin and the table moves to top right stack (new table) and i go back to the main stack playing. It is a lot of moving around still but this is the best I can get to on GG poker for now and its pretty doable.

i also play 5$ Spins at GGPoker and usually play 18tables tiled. therefore i only use GGPoker Hotkeys.
Because i also want to be able to play at a smaller display (eg. Laptop) i want to get used to playing stacked even though i think tiled is better.

That is a lot of tables, nice! Curious how and if it works for you, the stacked play.

All in all the setup is working. But there seems to be an issue with urgent tables not being on top always. There is sometimes a table which needs no action on top with serveral urgent ones below. Tried different options but non fixes that problem. The only solution is to setup a hotkey for "activate next urgent table".
Are you not facing that problem?

No, I don't have that issue. I suggest you ask in the Discord for some help so that the dev can help you by checking your settings.

Haven't played that much this month, just shy of 2k games. Have some catching up to do!

Yeah you can clear it once a day. I assume it's because the lbs are 50k instead of 10k. If it's still a thing in january when the new stars rb system is suppoused to launch stars gonna be packed.
