its easier being a parent when you plan it. the fact yall are doing that will make it much smoother. i agree with your view on doing something that isnt considered normal because normal is a relative term. Whats normal to me might not be normal to you, so in the end just do what makes you happy! its your life and nobody elses.

well, im not gonna be able to talk you out of it so im gonna atleast provide some point of views / advice.

Firstly, are you going to be able to be there for your kid? Provide for the next 15 years and dont say poker, 6max hypers can be wiped off the planet of the earth in 2 years time. You got any backup plans? Any exitstrategy at all?
Are you gonna live in mexico or the us? Reflect of whats best for the kid, with regards to upbringing, school(s) etc etc, its prospectives for the future.


Just take this with you, the kid never asked to be brought into this world so that means you got a responsibility that its life doesnt become ****.

Not going to be talking publicly really about all my intentions, but I will address this just to provide further insight

Money: Not worried about money. I've saved up + she has a very successful business and is thinking about expanding. If 6m hypers got wiped off the planet, I'd just switch to any number of other formats I'd be great at/could become great at. Worst case I'd have to switch to live cash or something like that. But money/poker I'm not worried about really at all. Got a few other options if poker overall just **** the bed too

Def no plans to live in the US LOL, thats for sure. Still up in the air if I'd move down to SLP or if we'd just split time between Rosarito/SLP. We will get the baby duel citizenship though, it would be a crime not to as having US citizenship obv provides a lot of future opportunities. Already in contact with my lawyer on the subject of dual citizenship to see what we have to do to get citizenship for a baby born outside the US but that needs US citizenship (it's not that hard). Salma can get a visa with all her businesses etc, harder atm post Trump, but she will be able to get one nps.

My parents want to retire to Rosarito as they absolutely loved the area the few times they've visited. So basically both of our families will end up in Mexico anyway and I certainly have no intention of ever living full time in the US again. She has a great support system in her family with her siblings, always clutch imo. Once my parents were here, we'd just be a big ole happy family heh

I agree with you, there is a ton of **** to plan and think about when having a kid. That's why we started 2+ years before we plan on having it. Private schools/tutoring/etc are all things we still have to look into more. Her 13 year old son goes to a good private school that feeds a lot of kids into the good universities in Mexico City. But we are of course doing more research. We are trying to make sure anything and everything has been thought of and taken into account so that we do it right. If I have a child, I fully intend to be there actively raising it and want to be able to give it the best life possible



But yea, I'm not going to sit here and discuss every detail, nor even most details. I am positive her and I will do a better job at this than most people do though. When you look around, more so in Mexico than the US (although the US too definitely), so many families are a complete ****show and nobody has planned anything or knows wtf they're doing...that won't be us, I can guarantee that to child that might be coming

For this reason it still amazes me that getting a child is legal for everyone and everything without the slightest regulation. Yeah I know human rights bla bla bla but sometimes it's just not meant to be and people still do it and there is nothing we can do to stop it. I mean I can't even plant a tree in my yard because it could upset the neighbors and I'd need to get a permit.

I know it's nearly impossible to touch it because you'll get outcry but it just doesn't feel right to me.

One thing we all know is that jdawg gonna jdawg, so it's of no use to trash him for making this choice.

Being a parent is tough and hell and puts strain on every aspect of your life. A lot of things will just hit you like a ton of bricks. It will cut to the core of both of you and you will see what you're really made of, sometimes it's not pretty.

Almost everything you see in commercials/movies etc about parenting and what it's like is just so f true. Stepping on things in the middle of the night drowsy as hell waking the baby up never getting any sleep, very true. (many people agree with me, sad!)

I could trash parenting for hours on end tbh but overall it's a huge net win. I miss my guy so much when I'm grinding and if my wife and I need a break to go on a date it doesn't take us more than 5 minutes to lose any frustrations we had and miss him a ton. There are so many cool and fun experiences you will get to enjoy that are better and more pure than a lot of the fun you're having now.

Just make sure you're present, filled with love, try to have some patience, go for it man. If you take any passion whatsoever into it you will be rewarded nicely.

The thing is that is isn't risking his own things here. He is risking another person that has no desire or wish to be born on this earth. You don't "own" children. If they make the wrong call they don't just risk their life, they risk another person.

You have to understand that getting children is selfish. You get them because you want them. The person you create would have no existed if it were for you so if you create them in a situation that is going to cause them harm that is on you.
