So it begins...
This has been a mixed year for me.
• I'm glad with the way I played, from 3$ to 60$ Spins Max. All beatable for me - pretty surely longterm aswell.
• I'm sad with how I started slacking since May - BIG TIME
Lockdown, little poker boom, good results before & what do I do? I chill because I had good results for half a year and think I'm the king of the world. Utter garbage! Basically grinded half a year decent volume - nowhere near to maximum, but I enjoyed life aswell - so there's that.
I watched and read several motivational stuff. With sports being cancelled due to 'Rona I want to improve in several aspects:
a) Volume & Consistency. Rather go 4-5 days a week for the full grind (4-6 tables) instead of going 6 months for 6-7 days and 6 month 1 day
b) Fitness & Diet. Go out for a run or a bike tour every single day! Stop eating cookies for good. Be in a better shape with 30 (September '21) than I was with 25 (that's my feel-good zone).
c) Study & Post. One short daily update with the SPOT OF THE DAY - I'll mark whatever I feel I'm doing differently / not correctly / have no idea about. Then add weekly updates in the process and study / discuss the marked hands in this thread or via PM if anyone feels like that's cooler.
d) Future. This is mostly about living situation long-term and investing the money. I move in with my best friend for the next 1-2 years, after that I'll most likely acquire a Tiny House - if you have any suggestions, experiences: I'll gladly discuss or take in valuable information.
Today: 80 x 15$ Spins, +260$.
Week 1 goals:
[ ] Put in 4+ days of grinding 15s upwards for at least three hours a day.
[ ] Bike Tour or a run every single day.
[ ] No more cookies.
[ ] 1 post a day. - 1 weekly update every 7 days.
[ ] Study 10+ hands a week.

- Did it go as expected? Did you reach your goals?
- Has your ITM/ROI changed? Both over time but perhaps also in respect to buy-ins?
- The swings/variance that SnG max provides; how have you coped with that? It doesn't seems that you've had major downswings?
Lastly and purely from being curious; what was your original bankroll/deposit from the get go? It might be by design that you dont state that but I believe that a lot would find it interesting - if you care to share that as well.
All the best.
If I played, the results were >= expected. I can crush if I play.
Easiest by far were the 3$. Think 7s and 15s are equally tough. 30s has whales and crushers
ITM changed a bit, higher buy-ins -> players are more aware about bubble-play. BUT: I get more 1st places on the higher buy-ins. Guess some people need to grind HUSNG for a few years (So did I from when I was 18 to 22.) I'll be honest and did not save my files about 3s and 7s Spins but pretty sure my ROI in 3s>15s>7s>30s.
I had some 80-100 BI downswings, not in my grinding half of the year though. Swings CAN be brutal obviously. You can just run below ChipEV for a chunk and also hit all the bad multipliers - be it big or small. I'm in the fortunate situation to have a solid bankroll by now to deal with that rather well. I don't have to desperately make X every month to pay rent etc. but I like to earn more than I spend.
I started this challenge with 30 BIs on 3$, so 90$ - I'm comfortably rolled for 30s now but want to get in the zone via 15s for now and see what my hourly can be over there. Will move up to 30s eventually though.
Time to follow again - I'm rather hyped for the time to come
