I heard you said Galfond was born on a upswing and will die on a downswing. True?

Yeah it was said. Kind of incorrect though because Jman was a consistant winner on FTP

Nice thread so far, very interesting!

I am wondering about how your process of improvement went (and is still going on). Did you watch a lot of videos? Got coached? I mean, how does a guy go on these huge upswings...
I noticed you value stats quite a bit, so would you say your a 'math' player, or do you play more on feel?

Also have a question about your screenname ISILDRooN, are you also a 'fan' of Viktor BLom for example. Are you friends with him maybe, noticed you were friendly in chat when u played vs him in the scoop PLO HU...

Thanks for taking the time to reply and good luck!!

False

I said he is born in a upswing that will end when he dies!

More tilted today as i wake up to se galfond and mercier made it to the ft in the plo6max 1krb turnament that we played yesterday, had them both on my table for a long while and had a big big stack but just played sooooooooo bad

Haha. I dont know why they did a three way chop evenly. Where do you draw the line between a good PLO player and a bad one when most of the money goes in at worst 60-40 or so. I dont play PLO so dont blast me.

Okkkk lets analyse what I have done this month so far, hopefully this will be a good post for both you guys and me to read

Started this month out on a small upswing, just climbed down from 10/20 after a ~80k-ish downswing with the goal to clime back up.

I started out pretty good and after 6 days it looked like this

I started month out by crushing 5/10 and started moving up to 10/20, only ante games. Imo my 100bb games need a lot of work and after playing maybe Jman or someone good could give me a call about that

I had a different feel playing 5/10 and 10/20 deep this time then before, i felt relaxed and focus. Often when i go up big steps in stakes i feel stressed out about maybe loosing and often i will play fast and bad i rarely i get up in my first try just cause of the mental bit imo. But this time i had been up before and i knew i could fight back to a lot of the players!

Day7 i went on thas mega rush

I started the session out in the !pokerpatyi and eireabu games, i was well rolled and had a great feel. I tried not to be in their way to much cause i prob just end up flipping it every time so i basically just waited for some om them to start steam and then try to get in there and win some.. I started out winning pot after pot on 10/20 and started railing some 25/50deep tbls.. When up like 30k-ish on 10/20 i decided to give it a shot! Here is some hands and a graph for the session

                        By this point i realized that i had my std issues with bringing my a-game to the top of the range of stakes i play. On both 25/50 and 50/100 i felt stressed when i played, i bluff bad and and just get to deep in to pots i dont even should be involved in, like this for ex;

I thought you played excellent in the 10/20 deep games last week. Seems like you have a good mindset too- realising your mistakes and looking to correct them, rather than bitchin about running bad.

nice poast, better luck on next 50/100 shot. Its hard to not focus alot on how you were just up 150k for the month when you drop so much money but i've somehow been able to trick my mind into being able to drop back down and play the same way I would no matter what results have been and how much I lost from my high point. Very tough not to try to push it or play in bad spots when your feeling like you need to make it all back that day though

Good progress so far, keep it up!

A couple of questions though in regards to this quote "My career has been pretty rough with both big up an downs! Wont put it all in to writing but when i turned 19th i had like a 400k$ role to my name, and when i turned 20 i could not afford to buy new sneakers..."

Once you lost all your 400k BR did you not just feel like quitting? How much money had you previously invested to turn that roll in to 400k.

Once you did go bust, how did you manage to within a year later be playing the highest stakes again? Did you grind from the micros or have you been staked?
