Yeah, I know. I just thought on a theoretical level, he should fold.

Should have just folded turn. It's not like he's even remotly capable of raising that turn with air... and his valuerange obviously kills me

Hey Imf, your thread is very interesting and your results impressive. You've clearly improved in skill very quickly.

What would you say has been most influential in your development, is it just reading through posts on the forum and books and going through the theory of the game or is it mainly through practice?

Is there any one key concept or skill that you've learnt that has been most influential. Or is it just down to talent? What would be your advice for a player beating small stakes who wants to improve like you have?

Thanks and gl.

It's these breakeven stretches where nothing is happening that really kills me

Well maybe that's why he refuses to admit who he actually is, to avoid taxes.

So how could he evade being taxed, while you can't? I mean he must have a bank account attached to his FTP, where his name is shown. You haven't admitted to FTP who you are either, if you know what I mean, so how can they tax you?

Hmm, that's a good question I'm not really sure, but I'm sure that they get a bit suspicious if some random unemployed 18 year old starts cashing out like 20k+, and eventually they'll find out I guess.

Why raise flop in 2nd hand? You have showdown value on the flop and can try to reach the showdown. And with the raise you turn your hand to the bluff. But not the best flop to bluff on, I think. Where I'm wrong?

Yeah that's standard obviously, and it's what I usaully do. But there were a couple of reasons as to why I decided to raise flop this particular time:

We're ahead like 80% of the time, but we have pritty much all turn cards.
We can get value out of draws.
We can easily rep a lot of stuff to make him fold if he has Qx and calls.

But yah, should prolly just have called. Oh well.
