actually it wouldnt be too ******ed, when you play like 2 tables of nl1k and replay any hand. you wont have many hands on most of regs, so the hud wont help you that much at the beginning

but i fully understand you. playing without hud feels like playing with a disadvantage to all the other players.

*edit*
especially when these f idiots buy hands at ptr...

Installed PT3 on my laptop, so put in a session this morning. It's so much worse than playing on my normal computer though Can't get HUD to function properly and stuff.

Oh well, played like 500 hands, and it was super un-eventful. I ended up like +150$.

Yeah, well, he was a very passive fish, so I really really didn't think he'd barrel river with air. Better to just get the money in when there are no scare cards and stuff. Really didn't expect him to ever fold.

He's only raising 2pair/sets/bluffs on that flop. I don't think particular will keep firing with his bluffs on the turn. So we can pretty confidently donk river if he checks back turn. Unfortunally, his 2pair got counterfeited on the turn, so he didn't fire, but I expect him to bet turn with his value hands 99% of the time.

Wow, I dig your thread, and thanks for sharing your insight! Very smart! The most puzzling thing to me about successful players is how they are able to so quickly draw conclusions about their opponents that they can exploit. I often find that I've found what I think is a tendency in a player only to be wrong, then I'm back at sqare one. I'd appreciate if you could answer a few questions about how you read players.

Do you mostly play regs whose styles you are familiar with?

How do you approach playing randoms that you have no info on?

What are you looking for in these randoms to tell you how you need to play them, and how long before you figure out what exploits them?

Thanks for the inspiration and keep it up!

1. We're not drawing conclusions, we're just making educated guesses, assumptions, about every player. I'm always trying to figure out how they think about the game.

Instead of figuring out different tendencies they have (like, they tend to bet extra big with bluffs, or something), try to figure out HOW they think. Because trying to figure out tendencies is very hard, and easily countered, but figuring out roughly how someone thinks about the game, is more reliable and harder to counter.

2. I play all regs, but yeah, most of them I've played with before.

3. I start making assumptions about their stacksizes, if they post before hand or not, if they start out by raising their first hand vs limping and stuff like that.

tyty

Oh and got computer back. Unfortunally, it was problems with the harddrive. That means, all programs, and most stuff is gone

However, I told the repair-guy to save as much as possible, so I have at least 170k of the original 250k hands left. But still sucks that I lost 80k hands, as well as a ******** of other super important things as well as all programs
