Hey guys,

Long time, no post. I'll start by telling you a little about myself and my poker history. I started playing online a few years ago (the good ole days before black friday ). I played mainly tourneys on full tilt and was fortunate enough to have a few scores in the 1k-5k range. I say fortunate because I had atrocious bankroll management. But as you all know, crappy bankroll management combined with variance equals trouble. The money I withdrew from my account was pissed away on partying, liquor, and all the other things that go with it. And my remaining balance on the FT account dwindled to zero. I made a few deposits on PS and implemented better bankroll management but no scores came with it. I decided to take a hiatus and haven't played serious online poker for the last year or so.

A couple weeks ago, I decided to give it another try. I've gone back to school and money is starting to get tight now that I don't have the regular payroll cheques from my job coming in. I budgeted the money I have remaining and figure I can make it until January without going broke. After that though, it's inevitable. Therefore, I decided to deposit $75 onto my PS account and managed to work it up to $150 or so through NL10 cash games and a couple small scores in micro tourneys. Then I came home drunk one night and decided to play some $50 hyper sng's!!! I woke up the next morning with a BR of 20 cents lol. Since I can't trust myself with any kind of online bankroll, I'm going to wait a while until making my next deposit... Probably a month or so

However, I was able to make just over 900 FPP's while playing the last couple of weeks and that's where my challenge comes in. I've decided to use 900 FPP's to play 45 20 FPP mega-path round 1 PCA satellites. For those of you who are unaware of the PCA FPP satellite round structure, here it is:

20 FPP Turbo Round 1
100 FPP Turbo Round 2
500 FPP Turbo Round 3
1500 FPP Turbo Round 4
4000 FPP Turbo Round 5
12000 FPP Turbo Round 6
36000 FPP Turbo Round 7
107000 FPP Turbo Round 8
321000 FPP Final Round (1 PCA entry for every 986,250 FPP in the prize pool)

Looking at this structure, we could say that for every 5 round 1's you play, you should get 1 round 2 entry. Or for every 3 round 3's you play, you should get one round 4 entry. I know these are turbo's and therefore variance is more of a factor. These numbers are just rough estimates.

However, since I'm the best poker player to ever live and I am going to crush everyone who come before me in these tourneys, I have given myself the following goals for the challenge:

Play 45 Round 1's and earn 25 Round 2 tickets
Play 25 Round 2's and earn 14 Round 3 tickets
Play 14 Round 3's and earn 9 Round 4 tickets
Play 9 Round 4's and earn 6 Round 5 tickets
Play 6 Round 5's and earn 4 Round 6 tickets
Play 4 Round 6's and earn 3 Round 7 tickets
Play 3 Round 7's and earn 2 Round 8 tickets
Play 2 Round 8's and earn 1 Round 9 tickets
Play Round 9 and win trip to PCA

I know it's a hell of a lofty goal and it will only get harder as the challenge goes on. Playing in the PCA has always been a dream of mine and if I was somehow able to qualify and cash in it, I won't be going broke in January . However, even if I qualify and don't cash, a free vacay and some fun in the sun couldn't do me wrong so I'd be happy with that as well.

I'll give updates at the end of each round with my progress. I plan to play these 45 round 1's within the next 6 or 7 days, so you can expect and update then. Step 1: Earn 25 Round 2 tickets. Go go go!!
I will qualify for PCA for 20 FPP Quote
