There are all sorts of people. Some prefer reading, some videos, some coaching etc. What comes to your taste can easily be a "waste of time" to someone else, so don't judge books or readers.

To the topic: Mental game of Poker and Treat your poker like a business are pretty solid.

I think what tgigitty meant to say was that the time spent on reading an entire book may not ever be well spent due to the lack of quality information. But rather digging through some videos or some strat threads could be better. I could be wrong. OP says he's already read the applications of nlhe twice. Otb in his thread did say that jandas assumptions cannot be applied to any street but the river i.e. the minimum defence frequency. (1-alpha).Just take everything with a pinch of salt OP. Gl.

Definitely but as a recreational player. I feel like I have my life mapped in a way. Like I want to use poker to get extremely financially stable. Work all thru my 20’s. Hopefully I’m still with Charmaine and then I would like to start a family when I’m 30 and be a Dad then grandpa who takes care of his childrenand grandchildren and plays poker for fun since I hopefully made a lot of money in my 20’s and invested wisely and such.

Saturday Saturday easy day Charmaine stayed with me the whole day so had a lot of company which made the day easier. I was thinking... I need 700 which means I’ll be done by June 17th (1day off June 15 Dad’s Birthday). I was thinking why not just work until the end of June and start July 1st with 3k saved Thoughts?? July 1st is a cleaner start haha and 3k seems a little more safe in a $200 max buy in. So yeah think I’m going to do that as of now. Really enjoying just working and sleeping haha.

whichever you decide to do, you should consider playing the 1/2/3 at matrix instead the games are very juicy and it plays much bigger than a normal 1/2.

Hit your 2k goal, since that was what you set out to do. Reevaluate at 2k...if you're feeling it, go play, if not, doordash to 3k.

Thank you! Yeah probably gonna play again at 2k. Yeah Berri said the same guess I’m going to have to make that 45min drive. That’s the main reason I don’t go lol Luckys is just so close and pretty’s soft as well, but I like the idea of deep stacks so we will see. But when I do get to 2k Most of my volume will be at Luckys. Also probably will do a 2buyin stop loss that’s what I rolled with last year except 1 session which was my biggest losing session where I lost 4buyins (that one hurt).

Was also thinking that but just not sure what hours I want to work doordash. I’ll work it in somehow. Doordash will be used to pay for food gas bills etc...

Last night I KO once 9pm hit. I am pretty tired. And I must say this Grind from Doordash has finally taken a toll on me. Around 6pm I was trying to self rationalize why I should just stop working lol. Yeah these last 5days are going to be tough but manageable. All just mindset I’ll be ok. 5more days let’s get it.

It's normal to feel burnout after 18 days without a day off. On top of that you're getting ****ty quality sleep in your car.

Once you get to your 2k goal, I would recommend a day or two off just to rest, reset, and clear your head for getting back into the game.

Agree w this, esp since I'd guess the most profitable times for Doordash won't coincide w the most profitable time to play poker. Much easier to avoid the mentality of playing w scared money on a short roll when you have crucial supplemental income.

You should be able to find enough study materials for free, whether free trials to training sites, borrowed books or even from the library, forums, etc. It takes a lot of money to make a lot of money and whatever you can save when you are in the early stages of this process is more valuable than when you have a big roll and can splurge on high end software, $100/mo RIO memberships, or coaching.

Good morning just woke up, sun is beaming my face and I need some coffee ASAP.
Yesterday was a good time. It was my Dads birthday so I didn’t work that much took him out to his favorite breakfast spot with my grandma and had a really good time. It’s good to see them since I rarely see do.
Work was meh made $65 and added $50 to the fund. It was good to take a chill day and enjoy time with family. Now it’s time to work, but looking to only add $50 a day from this point on. It would require me to work a lot less and keep me fresh for when I get back into poker to continue to work doordash on the side to cover all of my expenses per month.Trying not to burn out
