I played with someone coached by Jennifer Tilly.

I open AcKoJdTd MP, get 3b a little under pot by CO (80bb eff) & flat. Flop 877cc, checks thru, turn Kc I 84 into 118, CO calls, river is 9o, I check, CO SNAP CHECKS behind with KK25ds.

Put me on quads

Just played a 30 minute C- session, first time in a looooooooong time. Not from tilt or anything just didn't play spots well. I'm going hiking tonight with my dad and his girlfriend so some time away from the tables should be good.

God damn I don't even have anyone to play a regular home game with but I want these chips badly--

Spoiler:

They're so pretty! About $1.15/chip I believe. Maybe when I graduate and get a place to live.

Played live 2/5 then 5/5/10 and won 800. One last session tonight before sleep then boxing gym tomorrow evening, laundry, and a haircut with a few sessions sprinkled in between.

A friend I'm mentoring is coming to live with me through the end of the month on Tuesday so I'm prepping a little for that.

I had a few inner doubts about grinding these last few days, feeling reluctant to put in volume or questioning whether I should keep posting blinds in some reg-heavy games. I'm really trying to knuckle down this month and put hours in before I'll have to focus on school but it's tough man. It's tough sometimes. Mentally to have the drive. I'll suck it up tho. The 5k each way to the boxing gym + the ~2 hours there really helps empower me and show me that I can put in the "volume" elsewhere in life.

Also I recently heard of this song and have been enjoying it since:

Yes, great song. I used to listen to Sting when my dad would drive because he had his old man music. It's rubbing off.

Uploaded all of my personal hours & stake hours from May/June into my poker income app so here's an updated graph of all of my poker since school ended early May:
Spoiler:

Pretty cool, rocking the $190/hr even after the 53k drop-off-the-face-of-the-cliff sessions.

Now for a few sessions--

Huh. So I've gotten a better feel for how it plays to play 3/6 with ~50bi and 2/4 with 80bi. I've reconfirmed that I prefer 80+bi sooo I'm going to be more of a bankroll nit. It'll slow down progress but that's fine. Also with bovada's changes rolling out I'm going to stick money on ~4-5 sites to play for bitcoin and USD when I'm back at school so I can mass table. I've spent most of today researching/making accounts so for my next bitcoin withdrawal I'll be able to spread some $ around for more action. Seems like most of the action I'll be adding is 100 & 200pl which is fine given I'll be having so much more volume and still retaining my core bovada volume.

Really not happy with my play in the last three days. I made some pretty major turn errors that are uncharacteristic of me. Maybe it's the non-stop day in day out playing I've been doing as I haven't taken any actual days off really since mid spring.

Uncertainties w/ switch to ignition. Reducing withdrawal cap from 9.5k to 3k for bitcoin. They didn't fix bugs or update the software at all (now would have been the time) meaning it's unlikely to happen in the near future.

Anyways, I'm transferring 9k to other sites, pray for my bitcoin please.
Been playing live some. Really unmotivated to grind on bovada with the bugs impacting my play so severely. Also I'm such a brm nit when it comes to plo. I wish I could 10 table 200pl with a few 400s, I'd be so happy.
Yesterday playing live was so so so tilting. Most of the Ah in the decks were marked, I couldn't see the marking clearly. I thought my normal posture with hands on cards and card protector on should prevent Ah from being detected. Turns out two times someone 3 then 6 seats away asked if I'd had the Ah in separate hands. I could have easily been in a spot with a hand I triple as a bluff or x/r turn rip river and lost low 4 figures. So tilting. After the second time I insta-racked. I might go play at a different casino or just wait till later this week for a plo game that's running.
Anyway I'm off to the beach tomorrow with a lady friend and trying not to think about how fkn tilted I was.
I watched Raging Bull last night and was blown away by it. What a film. Although the first few domestic scenes reminded me of my parents.
If I get up the courage in the next few minutes I'll go play live all day.

Lost 1.5k in live cash and bubbled a $300 live mtt.

I feel like whenever I multitable midstakes+ plo I'm riding on the back of a rabid animal that if I slow down mentally it will bite me where being bitten is avoiding +EV plays due to variance concerns or succumbing to the aggregate variance exposure. If I play long enough the swings will get to me and the decisions for large amounts of $ will mentally tax me. Now that I'm playing on my $ again and I'm having low four figure swings personally on the daily it's starting to wear on me the amount of money i'm playing for. Losing 1.5k is a lot of money man. It's about how much I'll spend on my personal expenses through the end of the year. It's a vacation in Thailand. And I win/lose it in under half an hour. I'm sure a lot of people deal with this and overcome it. I overcame it when playing staked & prior to being staked on my own $ when I wasn't spending anything. Now that I spend more money and have some larger expenses, the $ amounts are really hitting me. Jeez. It makes me have the poker equivalent of gamings "ladder anxiety." I feel anxious about the swing I'm about to embark on during my next session and so play short sessions with small stop-wins or avoid playing altogether. I need to buckle up and stop being such a nit bitch and just put the volume in tbh.

We all deal with this to some degree. Just takes time to learn how to not worry about it and staying within your brm

Yes, I understand. In a way I've already done it. Just coming to terms with it now as a consumer rather than a competitor. It's just chips

Ran pretty bad as far as AIEV is concerned during a long 4x 600 session. Had a light call down come up vs a whale I'd iso'd repeatedly:
CO limps, I pot AKQ8hhcc otb, CO flats. Flop 8c 3d 5c CO checks, I 52 into 63, CO calls, turn 3o, CO checks I 72 into 162, CO raises to 162 I flat, river 4o CO 132 I call.

I'm hoping my next withdrawal comes through quickly so I can load up other sites. Rebuy bug still tilting AF. Although I am concentrating on putting in more volume.

Everything is set up. I'm so happy with it. I won't be posting balances or +/- because it's silly to spend time and effort recording the different sites. My goals will be in volume measured by hours played. Given the vacations I'll be taking I have just under 4 months left in the year. I want to be playing on average two hours a day minimum through the end of the year. Meaning 2hrs*30 days*4months=240 hrs by end of December. That is lowballing what I'll likely end up playing but school will be very rigorous this semester + my other life requirements like internship/job hunting, socializing, dating etc. Playing 15 (currently) to 18 (when I get my monitor at school) tables gives me at or above 1k hands/hr, so I should be putting in around a quarter million hands or more at midstakes. That's empowering compared to 250hands/hr at Bovada only.
So for the rest of the month I will be putting in a minimum of 26 hours.
I'm at 3:32/26:00.

Really rough last session ran far below aiev but it's all part of the package. Hoping to play really well today for a lot of hours. Big sunday inc, firing a 215 plo mtt too been reading some material on it.

Bricked 3 bullets not super happy with my play. I think I'll stick to cash till I have a 80k roll or something absurd where the buyin is trivial and I can properly weather the swings.

Cash going well

Really happy with my cash sessions today. Things are clicking, that's for sure. Not just in-game but also soft skill-wise. I haven't come across any regs that I feel are owning me, which is good. A few are definitely good but I don't think I'm giving up much EV if any to them. I'm in a good groove.
Although I did brick the $88 150k with a flip and 3 $215 plo bullets today. I'm going to reflect on mtts and decide if even the smaller ones have a place in my screen.

I've got maybe one or two more sessions tonight depending how I feel. But if I don't I'm totally fine with that, today was a good day.

Spoiler:

Not pictured is about -3k live, +3.8k on Bovada, and -700 in mtts.

Putting in good volume before school starts while keeping a balanced/healthy lifestyle. Off to the beach tomorrow with a girl.

Couldn't make the most obvious fold ever so quit games while they were still good today. Didn't get as many hours as I would have wanted as a result. Although I did jam $12 with king high into $550 on the river in a 3b pot vs a whale and got a fold.

I need more A game and less B game. A lot of B game recently. Results wise still good but stopping multiple sessions because of preventative mental reasons is no good at all.

Thanks. Although now that i'm doing more than just 4x bovada, streaming is out of the question.

Today was a massacre, no two ways about it. EV wise not bad at all, $ wise well.. It wasn't pretty.

Went on a factory tour of a military contract production facility today which was dope. Also ordered a new laptop, a Lenovo thinkpad 700. I went with the 15 inch screen instead of the 17 inch which I don't think I'll regret. Most of the time when I'm using it as a pseudo-desktop I'll have an additional monitor too, so no biggie. The SSD and 12gb of RAM will be a welcome change tho as HEM2 won't cause my computer to lag when I am using over 15 tables like before. That's a big deal. I should be 20 tabling when I'm back at school. I also have a 3k bitcoin cashout pending that I'll be transferring over to a 4th site for more action and my Bovada cashouts from the stake are almost done, just a little under 20k left to take off.

This is good stuff! Although I still have to sync hands and hud info/download all the poker sites and softwares onto my new laptop.

Off hiking with a girl today. Poker is in a good groove, did a bunch of studying recently that I don't count towards my hours played totals. I've had a bit of a struggle trying to mentor this guy that's staying with me because he hasn't been accomplishing the goals he set out but it's entirely as a consequence of his personal mental blocks freezing him and preventing him from starting big tasks out of fear of inadequacy, failure etc. Had a long talk with him last night to try and help him.
