Daily Update - Sun 27 Aug 2017
Hours Played:
8.8
Profit:
$42
Notes: Interestingly, 9 of my last 10 sessions have been wins. Feels pretty good. But I have noticed myself fervently sweating results mid-session which is pretty bad. Like I'd have been kinda annoyed if I finished $50 down instead of $50 up today. Which is oh so stupid because they're effectively the exact same thing. Only one's red and one's green. One is a baby step forward and one is a baby step backward. Need to be less results oriented when winning.
Very lucky to have gotten in 8.8 hours today. Suuuuuper happy with that. At about 11pm the table came within a whisker of breaking... we were playing 3 handed for a few orbits... I hated this idea but one of the players was a huge drooler and even though I'll be waaay over-folding in 80% of spots 3handed, I think I can still be profitable enough to stay in that game. Though it's definitely not ideal playing 3 handed with 10% rake. So I was about to leave and then we get a sudden influx of players and played 9-10 handed through til 3:20am. I was able to get out of the hole and post a puny win. Stoked. Ran fairly bad 3-handed and just folded a lot tonight. Missed a lot of flops.
The casino is so bad, such a shame - there's not many options early/mid week other than the cas though and I have to get the volume in somehow I suppose...
Anyway, a couple hands...
Hand 1
Limp limp, hero iso K
K
to $30, 3 ways to the flop.
Flop $90: 4
8
9
Hero cbets $70, fold, villain ($550-600 effective) in BB raises to $215, hero ???
Hand 2
Hero isos AJo in HJ over 2 limps to $25, CO calls, two other calls.

EP donk jams $75, hero calls, CO raises to $200, hero ??? (we're 600 effective w/ CO)
Hand 3
EP opens $20 w $275 behind, hero CC 88 IP, SB jams for $33, EP calls, hero calls
Flop $99: 932r
EP cbets $65, hero ???
Hand 4
Fish limps, hero iso to $25 in HJ w/ A
Q
, CO call, SB calls.
Flop $80: K
Q
2
SB ($500 ef) leads $35, hero peels
Turn $150: 7
SB leads $45, hero raises to $155 - We expect villain to be fairly weak when he leads this sizing twice. Kx is really his strongest hand, he doesn't have any two pairs rly (that we don't block) and he never leads flush draws otf imo. Hero is reasonably uncapped, can have all the flushes and decide to raise turn here to put a LOT of pressure on villain's Kx hands. $500 deep, he's not going to want to peel turn with sth like KJ without a club, even with J
, he could be dead on the turn. We also have equity when called and aren't terribly worried about villain coming over the top on the turn.
Villain sigh folds.
