Welcome to my thread. My name is Kres (Chris), and I am going to record my PLO progress. I have 2 years to finish my Computer Science degree and I want to use poker provide income and so flexibly.

I have played some PLO in the past and failed. but I have learned from those mistakes. I am approaching this from the mindset of wanting to dominate, rather than sit back and wait for equity. In other words, I want to be Abe to create opportunities for myself in these games, instead of relying on card equity This will allow me to move up. If I put in the work and study I think this will be achievable. The only thing between me and being a beast at this game is hard work.

My overall plan is to grind 10nl and get a solid base. I will then move up to 25nl. Once I can beat these games I am going to play live PLO. I am considering driving 4 hours once a week to play in Cincinnati ( I am in Nashville). By the years end I want to play in 2/5 live PLO games and average > 50/hr.

Right now I plan to play on ACR while at the micros in order to counteract the rake. But I plan to be playing on Ignition once my game improves. Once I prove I can dominate micros I am switching to live play. If live play sucks my soul away I will reconsider, but as of now I want to dominate these big live games.

I will include graph and lots of HH. I want to learn and I want this to be an educational and motivating space. This is long enough, but as we progress I can answer more questions about myself and other events in my life.

So I have been grinding the 10PLO on ACR. The games are not that great honestly. I don't know if my thinking is swayed by the Bot Scandal, but I'm pretty confident some players are bots. There is one named Chlore that is punishing these games.

But I'm not playing 10PLO to make money. Im doing it to learn. So I studied Chlore's game and learned a lot. I am also double barreling more and getting more confident post flop. All I care about is post flop play. The pre-flop and not over valuing hands will come. I just do not wan t to go back to my holder days of being a nit. If I can spot opportunity to 'steal' equity, that will cement me at least in the 2/5 live PLO games.

So I plan to grind about 2 - 4K more hands at 10PLO and make the jump to Ignition. If all goes well I will be at the Jack Casino in Cleveland starting in may.

I have been pretty card dead, but as I said, I am actively trying to take what is mine. Some adjustments is I have been going way too crazy in the SB. Also I am learning I do not have to steal every button, and that online (micro play) is more about "overall strat" vs maximizing individual hands. Do you all agree?

^^ as you can see my red line started off pretty good. Then from hands 1200 to 2500 I reverted back to my old ways and played way too passively post flop. But then from hand 2500 to the end I felt I got back to looking for situations. I'm still learning but happy the red line isn't falling off a cliff

I will post hands and more detailed stats and another graph by end of weekend.

Quick question, what do you guys to to study for PLO? I have tried to do some work guessing equities when looking over hands. Also I have been trying to get my hands dirty in Odds Oracle. Its a little intimidating but thats just laziness/me being a ***** and I even though it took me 30 minutes to figure out how in correctly input a range, but it was worth it.

A couple more days of playing with bots. I hope everyone has a good weekend
