I think i am good, no I think i am great!
OP NOTE : Before reading, useless babble - misguided soul.
But I am not, and I know it. I even attached a large post it note to the side of my monitor - " ARE YOU PLAYING SMART? THINK BEFORE YOU CALL! "
I deposited 75 on Lock and 50 on RPM - Was up to 65 playing small stakes on rpm last night, came on this morning, got it up to 70ish, long story short I lost it all on a few bad beats playing high stakes fixed limit. Lesson learned, Hmm.. I thought.
I hopped onto Lock, joined a 2/4 Fixed HE , Sat with 50, eventually gained to 95 ish, and then tilted on a few bad beats, lost it all.. Im ****ed right.
Figured im going to go out big, or win big. Joined a 24 + 1 6 Man SNG NLHE - 93/50/0/0/0/0 Goes to winner, and I eventually won it playing smart, I won a few big bands, stole some blinds, made chip leader, sat back and let them do the rest until there were 4 left.. I dont know if this is the proper position to take when in chip lead.. I really think I play different in sng and I have a 2/3 win ratio in my head when I do play them. so I am back to my initial lock deposit, plus a little more.
I dont know where this is going, its not a OMG I AM AWESOME thing, I just need a little direction. I know I can win, I know I have it in me to play smart. I think I just get bored of the smaller stakes.
What do you think I should do to maximize profit while still playing fun poker?
Learn to play cash games without being a ******, or keep playing SNG's -
And I am afraid of joining MTT for some reason, compared to a 9 or 6 man SNG, how would you rate the difficulty of making it to the money?
basically what i am saying is I suck at poker, but I think I have it in me to do well, where do I start on learning to become a better player?
