In for the freeroll! (if there's still space :P)

Anyway, been lurking a while but wanted to say nice thread man! (and sweet Brian avatar too lol) Off to Malta myself in january (not for poker) but found that part interesting and always helps to have some pics in a thread

Brutal about the hand above That's pretty much the exact reason I don't have the patience to grind long MTT's anymore but gl gl and bink a big score soon!

Thanks! You are right, mtts are not for everyone. I can take this hits though. It stings a bit for a minute or too but then it's always on to the next one.

Hey everyone

I had some bad news this week irl and I stayed off the tables for a bit.

I am back at it today though and will play a nice schedule on Sunday too. Starting today I am playing the 888 monsoon and breeze plus the challenges and some value games on ps.fr as well. I will replace some stars bowls for those mentioned above when I have some space.

The month started well but I am down a bit at this point. Let's turn this around for a profitable month!

Gl all!

I played a couple of games there during summer time. The fields seem quite soft compared to stars eu. Some people are constantly complaining about software issues like lags and connection problems, but I never had any of those. Quite frankly, I like playing there.

Hmm..thats weird. Something is wrong with that 8.8 turbo. I definitely didnt have more than 6 tables because I registered the 2,75 b109 sat after I busted the 8.8 turbo. So that screenshot cant be right. If you would'ce refreshed it wouldnt have been there

Lol, looks like it. But I still want to check the time stamps in the tournament histories because I am pretty sure I busted that 8 turbo. It might be possible that I had like 100 chips left and just closed the table lol. If that's right, the monies is yours.

Congrats playr. I closed the table when I had 90 chips left because I thought I was all in and drawing dead on the flop. So....I really had 7 tables running for like 2 minutes. Hehe
Lmk where to ship that moneyz

I really enjoyed yesterday's grind, but I only managed to get like +400 despite some really promising runs. Back at it on Sunday.

Yes, I only play 6 in total and starting yesterday I also include 888 and ps.fr. I try to play only the best games.

Well yesterday was awful. It was a constant struggle for me to regain motivation after each tournament I busted because it was so frustrating to watch all the bad runouts. Somehow I got through it though and finished my 12 hour session with a significant loss.

I started an early session today to try and turn things around for the month. It won't be easy to say the least but the dream is alive! Peace out

Boycott boycott boycott !!!

November was a bit ch to me. Failed most of my non poker goals and took a loss on the felt as well. I did however put in volume with mtts and did some studying. Managed to create somewhat of a workout routine and went to an Alt J concert with my gf. Dudes put on a really thrilling show.

December goals

I will start with non poker goals as I think those are more important to keep motivation ignited:

-prepare for courses I skipped this semester until start of 2nd semester
-do something different/out of the ordinary
-work out 4x/week
-attend 1 social event
-start working on the business plan for an idea I have
-read 2 books(1 random, 1 self educational)
-travel home for Christmas

and for poker:
-do some damage at live mtts in Prague coming week
-play 600 games until the 22nd of December
-game select better, focus more
-more post/pre game reviews
-stick to prepared schedule if nothing prevents from doing it

I am sitting in a cafe right now replaying these last 2 months since I started university and playing poker on a regular basis.
On some days my awareness of the surroundings was incredibly sharp and on others I just didn't feel like doing anything. These latter days felt really dull, I had no outlook on things no matter what I was doing. When I played a session I just felt like getting it over with and go to bed. When I went to classes I didn't pay attention at all, often realizing my mind had been drifting blank.
All this felt like a rollercoaster ride. Not one of those crazy up and down rides, but rather one where I was high up and then slowly slid down in the most boring fashion. I think the main reason for this is the fact that I don't look at my short and long term goals on a daily basis.
While I was writing down the goals for this month I saw the big picture. I always see the big picture when I look at my goals, so this will become part of my daily routine from now on.

Motivation is really key to everything. I mean it in all seriousness, EVERYTHING. It may be a cliche and it may sound vague but I see it at the core of our existence.
I could go on about this but it may become boring in this context.

As always, good luck everyone and don't forget to turn away from the stars client for the next 3 days. $AYA #theywerepoker #wearepoker
