Another solid session, played well mostly. Raised river too thin in a spot, also made a bad river call. I think my frequency of mistakes has gone down and I am in a groove this month. Also binked a $238 promo for quads.

While you are running good,

sit down and sketch out why you think you were running bad, and what you are doing differently this past month.

Are you playing better or is the deck just hitting you in the face?

Have you eliminated any marginal plays that may have been costing you money?

Have you been more proactive in targeting aggros or donks or are you less active and just being more patient?

I don't mean for you to write a book and you don't need to post it here. I'm just asking to be sure to give your recent game some thought while you are in the midst of running good and see if you can get a feel and quantify what it is that you are doing now vs when you were running bad...

anyways, keep it up and see you in Vegas next week

I called one river c/r that I shouldn't have but happy with my play otherwise. I'm still on track to hit my goal so super stoked about that.

I think I have plugged a lot of leaks. I will consider all those questions carefully and post it later. I would like to treat you to a nice meal when you are back in LV.

I played 2/5 at Rio for a bit was at a sick sick table. Straddle, restraddle, restraddle and 100 blind raise. (2/5/ 10/20/40/100) I wake up with JJ first to act and ship my 1150. Folds back to 100 blind guy who calls off 400 with 73o haha I hold up Merry Christmas. Only other big pot I played I cold 3bet jam 100bb with 44 on 532 got called by Q8 but can't hold up.

I'm getting pretty exhausted but closing out the challenge should be a piece of cake.

NH with the jacks. What a difference a month makes. Even in a pretty good size sample your hourly jumped $6. Makes you realize how long the long run really is.

Nice run this month sir! That is indeed a sick table, I played at a similar one just a few nights ago. Good job with your mini challenge also, looks like having a concrete goal helps a lot.

I don't think it was a great idea for u to play in that kind of game, 100 to c a flop

Not a good idea. It's a great idea. He is extremely well rolled due to backing and can afford to take small edges for lots of money.

Yes it was great idea to put 1150 into a pot of 177 with JJ and whole table to act behind.

For ur information there is no edge in those kind of games where people playing blind for any amount of money, it's just pure gambling and u got to be prepared for huge swings and very high variance.

I am glad we are on the same page . You do realize the type of players that make this game possible will call with worse right? Not to be results oriented or anything, but he did get called by worse (much worse in fact).

uhhh, that sounds like a dream table. not sure how you could ever justify not wanting to play at a table like that if you are properly rolled. I would love for my 1/2 game to turn into a 1/2/5/10/20/40 game. has only happened once in a hame game, and it was beautiful.

Yes... yes it was.

This is one of those rare situations in which results-oriented thinking actually has value. He got called by 73o (napkins). The fact that there was at least one individual at the table willing to play for stacks with ATC proves that shoving JJ is very +EV.

I completely agree. No money in all in blind poker type games everyone is solid.

Yeah have to see a flop with JJ. It's only 1 pair until you flop a set. Then you can put some money in the pot.

You got it. It really proves Limon's theory about games like that to be correct. He says that an overwhelming majority of poker players hate games like this. The only players that look forward to games like this are the players that really get it and the players driving the action.
