I'm sure I am missing something but how is your roll at 1206 after leaving 1500 in your acc and making 1071 in profit? Again I am sure I'm missing something but for the life of me I can't figure it out(just woke up too)
Haha you're not missing anything. I was underrolled at the start of the month. I've made about 1050 profit in zoom and lost about 150 in mtts. I started the month with about 900 or so and have cashed about 650 out so far!
If I was playing NL50 I would keep at least 50bi online for safety reasons...
Thats a very aggressive BRM!

This one's interesting. Pre/flop/turn is okay, but river is interesting. Villain never has an 8 here, and we don't have very many in our range, but when he checks the river, could I in theory shove here? He's never gonna call to chop, and we're 99% never beat. My $10 steal attempt is weak and half-hearted, but I'm curious as to what people think about jamming river.
I guess if you call with 99 to a preflop 3bet then you probably call as well with 88 so you probably end up having an 8 in your calling range, shove is probably better than just tiny bet

Yeah, you're right. I'd really like a deeper bankroll but at the moment it's just not possible, dropping down isn't an option unfortunately.
Today (9th July all day and 30 mins of 10th July)...
Woke up early today to get some golf in (waste of time... standard!), didn't start the grind til 1pm, stopped after 2k hands at 4pm. Played 1500 hands in the evening, and then another 1500 from about 10.30pm onwards. First session was meh but last 2 were awesome, played really well. For the last 2 I kept the cashier closed and took the winrate outta my HUD, what a difference it made (when I thought it wouldn't make any difference whatsoever - I'm an idiot!). Really enjoyed the last session in particular. Some hands from today...
This is gross when you look at the results, but I think it's an easy fold when I'm the meat in a flatter-and-shover sandwich...

I've withdrawn $536 to pay my part of a lad's holiday in August with my mates. On the one hand I probs shouldnt go because I still have bills to pay and it leaves me underrolled, but on the other I wanna get drunk in Ibiza with my mates for a week. At the point of withdrawal today the roll was left at $600, really glad I put in a winning session tonight to get me back over $1k at least. I have 59,950 fpps. The aim is to get the roll up to $1500 before I hit 100kfpps. Zoom profit for the month at $1418!
On an unrelated note, me and the gf moved into our new flat last night. Cracking place, very nice, but struggling to find a 'grinding place'... can't get comfortable anywhere! Happy grinding everyone
Three different sessions, first one I played well but ran super awful, was running into the nuts everywhere. Second session I played well and ran better, got back to even. Third session (last 1k hands) I spewed and spewed and spewed. Really gutted coz breaking even would've been a pretty good result! Not disastrous though. Some hands...
First hand is a bit mental, some next level s***t going on here. I 4bet due to villain's high SB 3bet stat and overall fold to 4bet stat. He jams AK pre, and probs JJ, so when he's minraising that flop I put him on draw/air. This kinda hand is rare, I quite like it.
I'd be really surprised if the AA hand is an actual fold given preflop actions. Plus we don't block any FDs.
Also out of curiosity. How many vpps you on for the year and how many vpps do you get per hand?
I think it's close, but would be interested to hear further thoughts on it. Just felt like I would rarely be good getting the $ in 3 ways (can't see the guy to my left folding much).
As for VPPs, I've made 205k this year, without playing in Jan/Feb at all. I'm aiming to make 100k every 3 months, but this month I've only made 7300 so need to get my grind on!

Interesting spot that came up during the sweat. OTR I like shoving, it's more likely IMO that we get called by a hand we beat, rather than by a hand that beats us. The guy sweating me said he wasn't sure, and it might actually be closer to a x/f, so lemme know what you think!
Happy with the results since having to cash out yesterday. Roll at $1260 (yest when I cashed out it was $600), 62,857 fpps and a whopping $1664 profit for the month of July at 25nl, 50nl zoom & regular tables! I might put another session in tonight, but felt a little bit spewy toward the end so thought I'd wrap it up for the day!
Good day today, didn't think my volume was all that great but 4k isn't bad. I also played 100 or so hands late last night, finished up a buy in. I got up early today for a solid day of grinding, only to find out that the previous tenants have cut their internet (I know them and they agreed to leave it on as their new place had internet, then we fell out and they've cut it outta spite... *****!), finally got online through the power of living within range of a BT hotspot (although if I move my laptop a foot either way the connection goes to ****). Sorted now and it'll get me thru til BT activate my line next week. Enough about that, some hands...
Vs a fish... snap folded it as I 'had a feeling' throughout the whole hand...
How big should I go pre here? I've been told a few times that fish just aren't folding in these spots and to make it pretty big pre. I think my sizing is okay, maybe smaller? Somebody gimme a number.
Preflop: Hero is BTN with A A
UTG raises to $1.50, MP folds, CO calls $1.50, Hero raises to $7, SB raises to $12.50, BB folds, UTG calls $11, CO calls $11, Hero raises to $33.50, SB calls $1.15 and is all-in, 2 folds
Flop: ($52.80) T 9 5 (2 players, 1 is all-in) Turn: ($52.80) 5 (2 players, 1 is all-in) River: ($52.80) 8 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Spoiler:
Results: $52.80 pot ($2.38 rake)
Final Board: T 9 5 5 8
Hero showed A A and won $50.42 ($36.77 net)
SB showed Q 9 and lost (-$13.65 net)
I like this one. Some may argue it's played poorly (it probably is) but I got da monies so can't complain. I wouldn't say there's 'history' with this reg, but I believe he percieves me as a bit spazzy/tilty sometimes.
Roll's at $1450, so happy with that considering I targeted $1500 after my withdrawal a few days ago within a few weeks. I really believe not checking my cashier helps me a lot. 65,474 fpps and a whopping $1858 Zoom zoom zoom profit this month.
On a personal note, working hard to shift this gut before going on holiday next month! Will update about that too. Happy grinding folks!
Hey, when I raise flop and get called I think villain likely has a strong hand that doesn't want to just go all in on the flop (AK, 10 10 etc). When I x/b turn I think I look like a combo draw a lot, so I know that on brick rivers I can use how villain perceives me to rep a bluff. Villain never puts me on the nuts OTR there, right? It's a bit risky but I think the hand is wp. I try to take lines vs regs that are outside the box as everyone just plays so ABC!
Hello there. Newbie who's subbing a) because this is a great thread and b) because I'm trying to get where you are at some stage.
Sorry if you've answered this before, but what's your BRM plan?
Hey buddy, thanks for subbing! Glad you like the thread. BRM is to have at least 30bi's in my account for 50nl (something that hasn't been possible lately, but back to there now), although some ppl in this thread have said 50bi's minimum, I think 30 is enough. I wanna move up but due to degeneracy in my younger days I have bills and debts that I gotta pay off. I am tempted to take a yolo 5bi shot whenever my account reaches $2k, but not sure. We'll see.

Ty for some feedback without coming across as a toolbox gents. I'm suprised that my line is so frowned upon tbh, at the end of the day I got paid off so I can't complain. Glad the board didn't pair or a heart never came so that I could generate some discussion and learn that this line isn't the best one to take!
Haven't played all day, but slept in the evening there. About to put a mammoth session in until the early hours...

What do you do if the river is a bad card, which is the most likely occurrence? You lose value or get stacked?
