Re: the 1k BR at 50NL.
His PS account is currently worth much more than that given how close he is to claiming a bonus and hitting further VPP goals.

It's a calculated risk, and not especially risky given that he can get circa $800 now with the FPP's shold he choose...

You could be a lot better of a player if your mental game was stronger. I think the problem might stem from your level of discipline. The fact that you insta-quit when you run into a cooler should set off a siren.

Also in terms of your hands per day, why do you play 16,000 hands one day and play like 5000 another? Just a suggestion, make yourself a schedule to incorporate some disciplinary tendencies, play the same amount for each day and then try to hit that number. Just because you play a sh*t load of hands doesn't make you better, a good player could play 30% of that and have the same winrate (and save a lot of time). And it's not like you were running hot and you continued to play, you were losing. Poker is a systematic game in terms of mentality, just be disciplined and you'll crush, easy. GL

...I am very close to clearing some serious bonuses. I usually play with $1500 minimum and withdraw anything over and above, but I've been downswinging a bit lately. I am 16k VPPs away from $2600, and 15k FPPs away from $1600. 16 days roughly for the $2600 bonus, and 4 days-ish for the 2nd one. Poker is my only source of income just now, so I can't afford to drop down just now. When I make these bonuses I'll withdraw everything over $1500 and take it from there!

Hey, I'm SN now so I make about $1600 every 25 days, and roughly $2600 every 3 months, plus any winnings of course!

Hey Jiggy, thanks for your input. I normally take a quick 5 minute break after a cooler but the last few times that I've said "insta-quit after this..." the session has been coming to an end anyway and I've just shut it down after a cooler.

I normally play 5k hands roughly between 9am and 5pm when my gf is at work, as she's not a fan of me playing whilst she's around. She was away on holiday on the days I was putting in 10k+ hands a day. I agree fully that it's a waste of time to play so many hands with so little to show. I have some issues with the mental side of things but I'm working on em, they are nowhere near as bad as they used to be

Any 50nl or 25nl zoom regs that browse my thread wanna do a live sweat some time via skype...?

Pretty much this, can always drop to nl25 at like 500, considering his incoming bonuses there isnt really much risk of him going broke here.

Roll was $982 at start of the day, finished at $1071, and HEM shows $35 profit... dafuq?!

A highly enjoyable day today. Coolers, set-ups, suck outs - for and against ALL day. A really swingy day, felt like stacks were going in every 200 hands. A few guys have got in touch via pm and Skyped it up with a couple today. Shout out to DumbBlondexoxo for a live sweat each way, so awesome to get a 2nd opinion and to see other people play live. Anyone else who wants to do that kind of thing please don't hesitate in dropping me a PM!

What sort of computer do you need for HM2 to work with zoom? I couldn't get it to stop lagging with one table. I never even tried another table as it was using so much of the processor and memory. I had to go back to PT4, and three zoom and a tourney are no problem.

Hey, I don't think there's that much of a difference between 25 and 50, but I couldn't say for certain as I don't play 25 all that often. The difference between 50 and 100 however is massive, 100nl regs are very good poker players.

Don't venture into the Gellions all that often but they have a big blackboard outside with a countdown to the referendum with YES written everywhere, so massive kudos to them! As for the PC, I'm not really sure? I'd contact HEM support if I were you, they know their stuff.

Just back from Berlin today. It was fantastic from start to finish. Germany is by far the most advanced and superior nation compared to anywhere I've ever been. Their women too... an eye opening experience for sure. I spent far far more than I should have, and an ordeal on the way home means that I am pretty skint in real life. Totally worth it though. Stockholm in September is next on the list.

        Bump!

I haven't updated in a couple of weeks. Things have been swingy, but I still haven't busto'd! I made my $1600 100kfpp bonus on 20th June, cashed $1200 out and paid off some billz. Yesterday I made my $2600 bonus and again have cashed it all out to cover a few months rent in my girlfriend and I's new flat (my half at least), and more bills & debts! From a personal stance, going to Berlin a few weeks ago has shot me in the foot financially. Spent like £700 in total which I really shoulda put towards paying off my debts. Was still totally worth it tho.

        Last month's graph...

Obviously disappointing to finish at a loss, and moreso that I set myself a target of $2k pre rb profit and didn't get near it, but I shan't dwell on that. Towards the end of the month I found a couple of new poker buddies on Skype that have been very knowledgeable and offered a helping hand after a couple of sweats, it has really helped. They're both far better and more technical than I could ever hope to be about the game!

        This month so far...

I swear to God, the motivation that I get at the start of a month is unreal, it's like a clean slate and I get super pumped! I have run well to start the month obviously, but I have also played really well over the past 3 days (apart from getting a bit spewy yesterday). Hopefully I can make $2k pre-rb this month. I've also added in 2x25nl zoom tables on top of the 4x50nl tables. I just play ABC on the 25 ones, really helps with volume and getting these bonuses cleared.

So all in all, I feel good about things right now. I really hope I can make some good $ this month because the first 3 months playing full time have pretty much been b/e pre rb so far.

Feeling good you guyz, we're all gonna make it! After a good start to the month the roll is at $1726, and I have 46,846 fpps.

Haha how many hands do you play per month? My volume's usually great when I'm stuck but terrible when I'm up... PM me your skype name, Huy got annoyed at me for leaving his study group without saying anything (rightly so).

Soooooooo today was a good day. Spewed a bit at the start (a lot actually), but then with a combination of playing better and rungood I finished strong. Slept in today so to get more volume I 10 tabled HUDless for an hour towards the end, really helps.

        A few hands today...

Okay, so pre is a little loose. Flop should be a bet, and should probs raise turn. Not the greatest hand overall, I know, but I'm really not sure what to do here OTR. Sets and overpairs would c-bet this flop, and I don't think he would ever x/b a flopped straight. I folded due to the sizing, but that's not really a good enough reason I think. I think that the only thing he can have here is a bluff, and I probably should have called. Happy to hear some people's thoughts.

This one's interesting. Pre/flop/turn is okay, but river is interesting. Villain never has an 8 here, and we don't have very many in our range, but when he checks the river, could I in theory shove here? He's never gonna call to chop, and we're 99% never beat. My $10 steal attempt is weak and half-hearted, but I'm curious as to what people think about jamming river.

Obviously a lovely result for us, but shown this to someone on Skype who thinks sizing pre is far too small, I respectfully disagree; limper is a fish, isolater is a reg, and overcaller is a fish. I think the reg has a fairly wide range here and will fold to my 3bet, so if I go too big I'll lose the 2 fish. I could maybe go a little bigger, but as played I think sizing is okay myself.

H1 folding the river is good, it's a flop on which he probably wants a xr range as the PFR so he can definitely have nutty hands. Call if you've seen him spazz though.
H2 if you have a betting range on that river you should almost certainly be shoving in theory as I really doubt 50z players ever x 8x on that river (also you block 98).
H3 definitely bigger pre, at least 8. Fish have inelastic ranges and with your sizing the reg should continue close to his whole range.

^ ty for looking. I added you on Skype tonight, forgot to do it earler this week. Daniel, 4 tables of zoom and 6 regular. HUDless coz I use an external monitor and a laptop screen, and any more than 6 tables and my HUD is minuscule. I rarely do it, but when I do I do it for volume!

My volume has been awful over the weekend, got 5k hands in today tho...

Swingy day, first 3k hands in the morning, then 2k in the evening. Made a lol-call at the start of the 2nd session and spewed a bit, rallied well tho to break even for the day. I played some MTTs last night, props to anyone who can make a living out of low buy in MTTs, I didn't get close to cashing in any!

              For the month so far...

Really good stuff so far obviously, but I want to do even better. I also need to get more volume in, I'm gonna dig deep and aim to finish the month with 150k more fpps than I have just now (50k). 200kfpps = $3200 in bonuses, plus any additional profit I can grind out. Gonna be a slog considering the poor volume lately, but I think I can manage it!

Roll at $1423 after MTTs last night (no more MTT's!).

              Dire day today...

Three different sessions, first one I played well but ran super awful, was running into the nuts everywhere. Second session I played well and ran better, got back to even. Third session (last 1k hands) I spewed and spewed and spewed. Really gutted coz breaking even would've been a pretty good result! Not disastrous though. Some hands...

First hand is a bit mental, some next level s***t going on here. I 4bet due to villain's high SB 3bet stat and overall fold to 4bet stat. He jams AK pre, and probs JJ, so when he's minraising that flop I put him on draw/air. This kinda hand is rare, I quite like it.

What's better here? X/r or overbet? Either way villain never folds a Q. I think I prefer x/r as I can get his whole stack...

So not the best of days. Volume was good though considering I was in and out of the house all day. Roll is at $1206 now (I dunno if I mentioned but on Friday I withdrew everything above $1500 - like $600ish), 57,272 fpps and $1071 profit for the month so far!

Edit - just noticed sizing on the turn on H3 is awful...
