Spoiler:

if the propbet is not too costly, you should consider forgetting it and instead focus on working out a lot + eating healthy; carbs around your workouts and mostly protein/fat at other times. This will build up some muscles, which will use up a ton of energy so you can eat all dat pizza once you've built up a good base
Otoh, if you overdo your diet and eat too few, your body will try to reduce its energy need and reduce muscle (more so than fat), which will result in a downward spiral.

€: also it is way more fun to compete about who can run faster/longer, do more pushups/pullups, and so on, instead of comparing weight loss

On a sidenote, i agree that QdJd hand is sexy.

So long as Gazzy still has the strength to lift a chip to his mouth he'll be fine.

Don't worry my man, I used to be very fit and healthy in my teens. When I stopped playing football in my early 20s I got fairly out of shape. I worked really hard and studied up on exercise/nutrition and managed to lose about 20kg to get back into shape. Since playing poker full time in March I've gotten really lazy again and am now back to where I started (+10kg fml). Life story aside, I definitely won't be starving myself, and I will go with the nutrition plan I did last time that served me well! Thank you for your input though; I see people all the time try to lose weight and eat a ****ing baked potato a day and think they can maintain that for 4 months and become super lean. Tards.

Yesterday was another really rubbish day, didn't enjoy it at all. The January rungood is over! Running badly just now but A) I've run way way way worse before for months at a time and B) I ran unbelievably golden in January so it's gotta even out eventually. Behind in terms of volume goals, but over the weekend I'll be focusing on just 4 tabling zoom and driving up the profit, and then next week I can get back to 6-8 tabling.

-5.7kg after the first day, which obviously cannot be right. I know when you go low carb the water weight falls off but that's like 4/5kg over the first week, not nearly 6kg. Spoken to Simon about altering my starting weight to make it fairer for him but he said to see where I'm at in a week's time and we can do it then!

Your starting weight is your starting weight, there will be no changes!

Stop weighing yourself every day.

Yeah, don't look at your weight

If you want to lose weight, you should be doing both cardio and weight lifting. Just get that metabolism up by using your muscles too (crossfit for in the mix)

Were you talking About playing 6-8 tables of zoom or reg?

GL man!

Actually was just going to say your success is quite inspiring to others. My goal is to play professionally at 50NLz+ also so I'm glad there's others doing it full time. And ye I read the ****storm from a few weeks back lol. Anyway keep it up man.

Mirage's third passive aggressive troll post I've seen today!

Guess what, it is viable. He's doing it. Sure it has its stresses and he won't be buying a yacht just yet but that's fine.

No idea how you thought it was appropriate and not dickish to post these things in everyone's thread. Let alone deny it wasn't with trollish intent

6-8 zooms! Great for fpps, not so good when you're not running that well though.

Cheers buddy, appreciate it. Only advice I can give you is to have some £ in the bank before you do it, that's the only thing I'd change from when I started!

Grinding 50nl is totally viable. I am living proof of that. I am a small winner, but even if I was b/e or a small loser, I'd still make more playing poker than I did when I was grinding the desk. Plus I'm a million times happier. Can you tell me what part of that isn't viable?

Also, just out of curiostiy, what stakes do you play yourself? Just curious, not having a go

Thanks Dan, appreciate your support!

Gonna dabble in a bit of sports betting today, nothing massive. I had £2.98 in my Betfair account, so I've deposited another £20 and will put my entire balance on each bet during the football today. If I lose at any point I won't redeposit, and I'll stop if I manage to run it up to about £250ish. Just for a bit of fun, I rarely put any money on the football these days!

First bet of the day is +2.5 goals in the Spurs vs Arsenal game (3 or more goals) @ 1.83, will return about £40ish!

Ye i'm just surprised its viable being basically break even. I play 10nl. One step at a time.

Because I been looking over whotfru.info today and various players on here to see how they are REALLY running and according to it your actually down quite a but but break even last 1.5m hands.

You can make $30k annually grinding 50NLz in rakeback alone....................

I like how he found whothfru after like a year and a half and now goes on a random trolling spree thinking someone cares. Even if it isn't viable and Gaz will be living underneath a bridge with his triplets in a week or two, why are you so bothered?

Are you going to give some politically correct answer now like ''I just want what's best for him''?

When I follow a thread I Just like to know if someone is a winning or losing player. That's all. What's the problem?

No problem from me. I think it's maybe for the best that you unfollow this thread in that case. Good luck moving up past 10nl, maybe we'll cross each other at 50nl one day!

Spurs won 2-1 with a late header, and I celebrated it like I'd just binked the Sunday Million

£41.10 on +1.5 in the Aston Villa vs Chelsea game @ 1.38, will return about £56. Hopeful of an early double so I can re-invest in the 3pm kick offs!

I mean it depends on what you mean by viable. Right now you are a RB grinder who has a propensity to overspend irl. This lifestyle is viable in the short term since poker is still easy to beat, PS is still available in a bunch of countries, PS still has a good VIP program etc. But once someone of those things disappear or decline, the lifestyle you life now won't last, and thus wont be viable in the long term.
