Sidenote, I'm really struggling with this mic. It's a blue yeti and cost £130 and was told it was a very solid mic, but it sounds like I'm recording in a ****in swimming pool. I've tried doing the audio in different rooms, different gain settings, everything, and it still sounds pish. Any ideas/thoughts/recommendations?
Blue yeti is decent mic. They're recommended b/c they got good branding and they're really easy to use (just plug USB in and done).
It is a condenser mic (See: condenser vs dynamic) so if your environment has a decent amount of noise, it maybe be picking that up due to its sensitivity. Maybe play around with the settings a bit more as well as testing out microphone placement or distance from your mouth.
There's also stuff you can do inside your video/audio editing programs to adjust the sound for narrations you can't play with (I don't cos I'm too lazy). But just google stuff for improving audio in whatever program you use, stuff for EQ, compression, mastering, limiter etc... audio quality stuff actually goes way deeper than I had thought when I first started researching youtube video making.
How would you be able to call someone out in live poker for changing seats without exposing the dude they're targeting as the mark in the game?
I do it reaaaaaaal subtle. "How come you're moving seats buddy? You don't like that seat you were in? You don't like seat 6 and much prefer seat 2, got it." and basically all the regs at the table know what's up and the player in question just always looks ashamed, and rightly so.

I'm in Los Angeles just now, playing a bunch of poker and making as much content as I can. Really enjoying the YouTube grind these days, check out the latest VLOG and feel free to take part in the 2% giveaway for my upcoming live stream in Texas!
Slowrolled a guy coz he nitrolled me. Out of line?
Was just finishing watching this, very cool vlogs with nice editing. Kudos if you do that yourself.
Looking forward some vlogs from the mighty Czech Republic!
I have been following your thread and your youtube content for quite a while now and i really enjoy watching you play including the occasional out of line gamble strategy. regarding the slowroll i really hate seeing you do this as you just want people to enjoy the game as much as possible, not only from an EV standpoint but mainly because it should be fun for everybody.
if i feel like trying to get revenge this usually tells me that i am at a bad point in my mental game and have some trouble with my ego going on. especially if regs pull the slowroll i am usually telling them to **** off because it is just so out of line, bad morals and against their own interests.

Thanks man! No VLOGs from Czech unfortunately, which is a shame

Another VLOG from recent US trip, playing 25/50/100 in Texas, feel free to give it a watch . I gotta tell you it's really fun making these vlogs but my sub count is crawling up, I had no idea it would be as hard/slow as this. I'm very much open to any suggestions anyone has coz at this rate I'll be a million years old before I hit a million subs.
Also running a world cup sweepstake, $500 to enter, everyone gets a random team, 10k for 1st, 4k for 2nd and 2k for if your team finishes dead last

Your thumbnails are not great, keep in mind some people watch on their phone so anything small can't be seen. If it doesn't get clicks, it doesn't get views, it gets downranked instantly. Thumbnail is very important. Make things bigger, while cheesy put yourself making a face in the thumbnail. Also improve the setup of your background. Brad Owen has a guitar and other cool stuff behind him, your background is plain and boring, put a poster of your favorite soccer team or something up. Also fix your lighting.
What camera and lens are using for the vlogging portion? Get a better one maybe. I use a Canon 80D with a 50mm lens mostly. Audience retention, tell a story up front that they have to watch the whole way through to find out the conclusion. Sell each video as a must see in some way. Good luck.
I got a million more tips by the way, I've been studying a lot of youtube stuff myself trying to learn to start making poker vlogs also. Take MrBallen for example. He will hide some little easter egg in his videos and if you find it and comment first the timestamp he pins your comment. So people instead of just watching 100% of his videos are going through multiple time trying to find some little easter egg and watching over 100% so his watch % is probably much higher than normal because of that little trick. Another thing you can and should do, engage with all of the comments. Heart every comment that's not mean spirited and reply to as many of them as possible. If viewers get comments liked or replied to by you they will feel much more invested in you as a person and gobble up your videos. Blatantly ask in the video, maybe not every one, but every other one or so, ask them to hit the like and subscribe button. A cool way I've seen done is a little graphic on the video of a mouse pointer clicking the red subscribe button and the like button.
I recently took a trip to the city of angels and vlogged along the way. Aiming to release 2 eps a week, this is the first one. It's gonna be sick and I hope you guys enjoy
As always, any form of constructive feedback is strongly welcome!
Very well played to say 'I rivered a set of jacks' to generate extra engagement on the video as you know that loads of people are going to comment on you not knowing the difference between trips and a set
