Hey guys!
Firstly, big up yo selves for all the responses lately. Even when I'm not updating regularly I still read all the replies as they come in, and I'm grateful for em. A lot of time has passed since my last update so I shan't quote the individual replies, but yeah, thanks a lot. Also thanks a lot for Everest17 for adding a couple of fun tales from his time at Commerce. Was great to see him, even if short-lived!
I actually haven't played in like a week now. Normally I extend my trips because they're so much fun but I've decided to cut this one short. Going home tomorrow a week earlier than originally planned. Even when I extend the trip, I get to the point where I know I've had my fill and don't wanna be here any more. That feeling has hit much earlier than normal and as a result I'm heading home. I think it's because this trip I've run pretty badly overall. Not complaining about it, not moaning, not mad, angry or upset, just commenting. It's a tough grind when you're not running that well overall, and even tougher to put hours in. I was of course running REALLY well in spells (rich can confirm
), but yeah, not the best trip overall. I finished +4k, 5.5k of which was due to my MTT run, so actually -1.5k or so in the cash games. The games were pretty good, lots of fun and never short of drama!
A few days ago me and Everest hiked to the top of the Hollywood sign hike. Was a lot of fun and very scenic. I've done it once before, this time last year, and really dispapointingly there was a real lack of hunnies on the hill this time. Last year there were honestly just tens streaming up and down the hills! I've spent the last two days by myself in Venice Beach, right next to the ocean, and it has been ****in awesome. Spent the day today speeding around on an electric scooter with stunning birds everywhere rollerblading and doing yoga and ****, was ****ing class.
All in all a really enjoyable trip. It was probably my least favourite US trip ever, but still really enjoyable, if that makes any sense at all
gonna head back to London tomorrow and get as much footie in as I can over the next few months.
The road to WSOP 2019 starts now.
