In my mind people only like cats because they are not in a position to have a dog. no space or time etc. This probably not true but I just cant comprehend anyone liking cats above dogs.

common misconceptions haha. you gotta spend a lot of time with them when they're young. my cat is super loyal. he follows me around all day, likes to wrestle my arm, sleeps on my feet to keep them warm at night, and anytime I'm gone for a day or two he's literally drooling all over me when I get back and he doesn't let me out of his sight for a few days. if I try to leave he grabs me with his paw and gives me this "you're coming back quick, right?" look. haha I love my cat

dogs on the other hand... they love any person. you don't need to earn a dog's love, they're just these dufuses who run around looking for love from anything that moves.

I met a colossal example of a close relative, the norwegian forest cat, at a party at a farm once. He knew very well how awesome he was, integrity and charisma overload.

He looked like this.

I like both cats and dogs myself but the variance with our cats back home were huge. Everything between awesome best pals to ones that really just want to sleep life away on their own.

This one birman male was awesomely social and playful with us siblings when we were babies, that prob did a lot for our appreciation of cats.

Cats are such weird animals, most cat owners absolutely love their own but absolutely ****ing hate other cats.

Haha thanks. She's one next month and is an absolute legend. We had a Border Collie/Mountain Dog cross named Harley before her until 2017. Went the small dog route this time so there would be no comparing the two.

First things first, dogs are better than cats and any man that thinks otherwise probably also has a sign that says "Live Laugh Love" in their bathroom.

Secondly, this thread has been incredible past few weeks. I'm really grateful to those that contributed on their allocated day.
