Unless you tend to lose things easily I would put it at 95%+ to be the airbnb. It's just a cultural thing - even the police in Mexico will be unbelievably nice while they rob you
Will explain the situation below...

Okay so the story of the missing $. It's the weirdest thing ever. I had $21k on my desk in London. I went to a hotel at Premier Inn the night before I flew to Mexico. I laid out all the $ on my bed in the hotel. I counted it and put it in my hand luggage. I was at the airport and was going through security and remembered I might need to declare. The lady in charge took me to the side and made a call. I remember saying to someone on the phone I had $21k. I am 90% certain I didn't have to take it out my bag, the guy just took my details. I got on the plane and flew to MXC. I put the $ in the safe when we landed in our Airbnb (the Airbnb seemed to be in a pretty nice area and was genuinely beautiful). I didn't count it, I was super tired and put it in the safe and went to sleep. There was almost always someone in the house apart from 2 instances when we all went out at the same time for about 2 hours over the course of 2 weeks. The morning of our flight to USA I took it out and there was money missing. I had a 10k brick, a 5k brick and 6x1k stacks with 9x$100 bills and a $100 wrapped round it. The 6xstacks were all intact, and the 5k brick and the 10k brick were loose and each had a few k missing. When I re-wrapped the $ in the airport I would have SURELY had all the $ coz I would never put like $2k in a $5k band and then $7k in a $10k band or whatever. Also if the airbnb host was gonna rob me wouldn't they just take it all? Or a few of the 1k bricks to make it less suspicious? Worth noting we had a 'concierge' which was just a wee tiny Mexican guy in a bodywarmer watching movies on his phone. Nice guy again, always opening the door and saying hello and stuff.
It is an absolute mind****. I have contacted the airport and asked them to review their CCTV and see if I took the $ out my bag and how much was there. I've contacted the hotel in the off chance I left the $ there by mistake. I think it's completely gg now unfortunately

Vegas! Vegas Vegas Vegas. Results so far are as follows...
Profit - +$6637
Total hours - 55
Hourly - $120
Not bad considering I lost $6k in the first ****ing day.
So after I lost around $6k in the first day and the realisation set in that I had misplaced/been robbed of $6500ish I shat the bed a bit and sold 33% of my 5/10 action at a nice lil markup. I am an unreal bankroll nit these days and while that's a good way to be it does cost me a bit of EV here and there. My first ever WSOP I had a net worth of $11.5k and I took $11k to Vegas for 2/5. Much like when I went pro with $1500 to my name, I dread to think where I'd be right now had I not run well. It doesn't bear thining about. Sucks being a BR nit but it's just what happens when you get older.
So me and the boys let off a ton of steam 2 nights ago, I didn't go to bed until about 11am yesterday. I slept until 7pm, woke up, thought $30 worth of Carl's Jr would solve all my problems (it didn't), and then slept again until 3am. I woke up STILL hungover and bleugh but manned up and went over to Bellagio. I had a big day, won $5k and ran extreeeeeeeeeeemely well. I sit down and there's 2 drunk fish and Christian Soto. Christian was super nice/friendly and jokingly offered me $50 to leave him to it. Anyway I sit down and a few others sit down and the game's still good but not as good as when it was 4 handed. First big hand of the day, UTG asain guy limps, MP limps, I make it $50 on BTN w AKo. UTG limp/raises to $220 and I'm hating life. Can't re-raise, can't fold, flick in the call. Get a really decent Axx disconnected flop. He bets $220, I call. Turn brick, I x and he shoves and I call and he's got AQs and we hold twice for a full double. A few hands later and some poor fishy who's just been stacked rebuys for like $800ish. Folds round to me and I limp 75s in SB, he checks. No rake = me making up a limping range on the spot. Flop 864fd. I x, he bets 25, I go 100, he jams, we snap and show and offer to RIT and he says he's dead to a chop and we win again.
Time goes by and we win a bunch of pots and are chipping up nicely. We open 77 UTG, Asian reg 3bs pre. He is an unreal nit, basically never playing hands. We call coz we're 3k eff and it's K97r. We x, he bets 33%, we x/r around 3x and he snap folds. Sigh. A few orbits later ma boi Smit opens UTG, we call black 99 UTG+1, same guy 3bs next to act, folds round to me and I call. Flop is AcTc9x. We check and he bets small again. We should raise here always but the guy is just such a massive nit that I genuinely think he'll fold AK/AQ at a decent freq. I just call. Turn is 8x and x/x. River brick and I x and he bets super small, like $140. I x/r to $630 and he calls after a minute. I would raise flop vs anyone else but I like my line vs this guy.
These hands aren't in order, they're just coming to me as I recall the day. So there's a huge fish who's a bit erratic at times, absolutely lit, playing his last orbit out the rack. We have the Jesus on him (though out of luck, I don't move seats in game and I like to subtly call out ********s that do - "how come you're moving seats?") and find AA and make it 50, he calls. QT4r he xc vs 70. 4x he xc vs 190. River a glorious Ax and he has his hands clasped, his lower lip puffed out in a "hmm" expression, his head is bobbing coz he's so drunk and he announces "all in!" hnnnnnnnnnnng. I snap and snap show and he mucks. I felt super bad coz he was so lovely and I had been chatting away to him all morning, but he was so lit we kept having the same conversation every 30 minutes and he didn't seem to realise. "I got tickets to the Fury/Wilder fight." "Oh awesome, that'll be really good." "Yeah, that Fury guy, his story is something else." "Yeah it's super inspiring isn't it?" ... 30 minutes later... "I have tickets to the fight tomorrow, Fury and Wilder." "Oh, awesome, that'll be a great fight." "Yeah man, and that Fury..." etc etc etc. Just gotta grin and bear it.
Played a fun one. American semi-reg opens BTN, the above guy calls (this was before we got all his money), I call BB w QxTs. Flop is T63sxx. SB x, I lead 60 coz we don't want it to go x/x/x and **** GTO in a spot like this anyway, reg calls, SB folds. Js goes x/x. River As and I x and he bets $140 or something. I make it $530 and he thinks for a minute and folds. Love this line.
Just after I won the AA hand I opened Q8dd MP 5 handed. Bit loose but table full of nits. CO old man in a scooter calls. Flop T95ddx. I bet, he calls. Turn 4d and I bet $120 and he makes it $400 and lord gazzy folds. Not today old man!
One of the most interesting hands of the day. 5/10 and Smit puts the $20 on. The old man tells me if I put the $40 on he'll put the $80 on and I nearly fall out ma ****in chair! I put it on and he obliges. Folds round to the 10 and he makes it 240. He has 2.8k and we cover. We are in the 40 and have black TT. We can either flat, 3b/call it off or jam ourselves. Spoke to some people who think 3b/call >> flat >> jam. I personally think flat by far the best option, and we just go with JJ+ here. Anyway we call and go HU to J85ddx. He bets 180 into like 570, we call. Turn 4x and he bets 440. Close spot, I randomized for 50/50 vs this size and rolled call (obv). River 9x and he xs and we are like yay we might win now and xb and he has AJo. Nhnh.
That'll do for today, happy to hear thoughts re missing $ and above hands
