A couple days ago I was busto and decided to grind NLHE tournies and yesterday I made it to the Final Table of one of the micro OSS tournies on WPN. I got 6th place in that tourney and now that I got a bankroll again I am going to focus my time on the mixed games on WPN (BlackChipPoker) but with bankroll management and tilt control in mind!

Games:
Stud Hi - $0.40/$0.80 heads up & $0.10/$0.20 ring games
Stud 8 - $0.40/$0.80 heads up & $0.10/$0.20 ring games
LO8 - this game doesnt run often in the micros. $0.4/$0.8 runs everyday but that's not worth my time for such little pay. I'll have to play stud mostly and wait until I'm rolled for low stakes-medium stakes which DOES run often on WPN. $1/$2 - $4/$8
Big O - $0.01/$0.02, $0.02/$0.5 and sometimes I'll play $0.5/$0.10.

In my previous Poker blog and goals thread I said i wanted to grind enough to reach mid-stakes ($1/$2 - $4/$8) and hopefully one day reach the high stakes ($5/$10 - $150/$300) on WPN. That's still the end goal for this thread.

I also regularly play the Stud and PLO8/Big O tournies and PKOs so I'll be posting some of those results in this thread as well.

Another goal I have in mind is grinding out enough money to invest in Pokeit ($100/mo) for a year's subscription then build up a respectable hand history in the Stud and Fixed Limit Omaha variants and if all goes well see if I can find a backer to stake me in the medium stakes on WPN but just for Stud Hi, Stud 8 and Limit O8. I'm not planning on looking for a backer for Big O because that's more of a hobby game for me. Limit games are my strength really.

$5/$10 is what I'm going to work towards but hopefully one day I can play $40/$80 and up (mainly for LO8 and Stud)

So for now.. I'll be grinding it out but expect hand histories and bankroll progression.

Was able to get ITM for a $200 GTD PLO8 Tournament and bubbled the final table spot. Got 9th place for $5.41. 1st place pays $58.44. Pretty good ROI for a $1 tournament. I'll be grinding these daily so I can reach the $5 PLO8 GTDs, and PKO tournies because those are just suuuuper profitable, especially the PKOs.

Also currently in a $1.65 Stud Hi tournie. Stud tournaments I think are a hit or miss. You gotta get super lucky to build a big stack or else you're most likely to blind down and once you dedicate yourself to a good starting hand, it doesn't take much to get 2-4 other players in the hand severely weakening your hand, especially in the micros where everybody calls.

You think this would be a good thing because all you have to do is wait for a good hand but really it's just a luckfest and when multiple people call the variance is just INSANE. So thats why you gotta aim for straights or flushes and know when to ditch your hand.

But even if you only got 5 BB towards the last level it doesn't take much for a donk to call, chase, or catch a 2 pair or trips and knock you out.

I guess what I am trying to say is I need to find a good way to study stud hi tournaments. There definitely isn't any training sites that help with this. Luckily I saved A LOT of videos from DeucesCracked (they had a TON of mixed game videos which I saved)....UNFORTUNATELY they're on my old computer which crapped out on me so I gotta find a way to tranfer the files from the HDD to a new one.

It was at $6 but then I played some CAP PLO and won about 5 buyins...Gonna try playing some more cap today and see what happens.

Also got a 48bb/100 winrate at PLO2 over 5k hands. Going to keep playing cap and PLO2 and try to run it some more but probably wont update this thread until I save up soem cash and deposit at least $500-$1,000 because playing these nanostakes is just not worth it, especially the rake.

Pretty sick sharkscope graph too with MTTs. PLO tournies are super soft...final tabled 2 this week. One of them I placed 1st. The 2nd one I placed 3rd. Also why does sharkscope say I've cashed over $1k. I certainly dont think that true. The $524 number above that is more or less what I've seen in dollar figures in my account.
