I think you seem pretty clueless bud. Let me simplify it....
As a landlord, I could rent out a place for , say, $100 a night through air bnb, but don't want the extra wear and tear etc, so I rent it for $1k a month to a guy named Walter Mitty, with government contacts! Turns out, he is a heavy weed smoking, potential millionaire, janitor, who rents it out at £100 a night, while slumming it in a love motel.
If you don't see anything wrong with that scenario, then you are not cut out to be in the property business, no offence.
