Got laid off from my cushy job working at home doing about an hour of work a day for $80k/yr as a 1099 employee earlier this year. Then a couple months ago I got a job working for a ****ty company cold-calling mechanics trying to sell them crappy software for $14/hr. Got fired after a few weeks after being late a couple times and then not showing up one day due to my heroin habit. Asked my parents (I'm 30) for help with rent last month just this one time so that I could get back on my feet once I get my first paycheck. Told them I've been sending out a ton of resumes and that I've had a bunch of interviews, when in reality I've only sent out like 2 resumes and had one phone interview but nothing after that.

My plan is to go back to grinding $100NL for a living. I put myself through college in my early 20's and was ballin' (relatively speaking, like $4-$5k/mo) for about 5 years before Black Friday, so I'm confident I can do it again. I'm slightly worried that I won't be able to replicate this again because earlier this year I deposited $1k, went on monkey tilt after a few beats and started betting $100 a hand on blackjack on Bovada. Busto. Did it again a couple months ago. Busto. Now I've deposited a third (and final since my credit cards are maxed) $1000 on Ignition and requested to be banned from casino games. Down to $840 and I have 30 days to make $800 for rent. The good news is that I refill my adderall prescription tomorrow so I'll be able to grind 16 hours a day tweaking my balls off, so volume won't be a problem.

Go big or go home imo.

SHORT-TERM GOAL:
Make enough money this month to pay rent, bills, and have some fun money left over.

LONG-TERM GOAL:
In the words of the great King Niche: "grind on the mind"

glgl sounds like a long shot, especially if you're playing $30 mtts off with ~20-30 buyins / $100nl with 8 buyins. Hope things work out for you

I know I'm playing extremely underrolled, but I've got a few thousand bucks in credit cards I could always deposit should I go on a downswing. Hopefully I'm able to get away with grinding at 10 buyins by starting off with a heater.

Gl I guess? You've played much since BF? I know you had results back then but I doubt people who beat 100 pre BF could beat 5NL Zoom currently. So many things have changed.

Just binked a $55 MTT for $1150!
Also binked a $11 MTT for $400 a couple days ago, as well as a 2nd place finish for $312. These Ignition MTTs are softer than baby poo.

On the downside, like a ****** I tried sitting down at a couple $200NL tables and lost $600 in about 3 minutes.

Will poast graphs when Ignition decides to stop being a stupid *sshole and sends me my hand histories.

Aaaaaand just got 2nd in a $22 for $388.50. Actually super pissed about this one because first was $577 and the guy was a complete mouth breathing orangutan of a human being. Sorry, that was highly offensive to orangutans. Sorry to the orangutan community.
