Hey guys,

Over one year ago, when I made the decision to go pro in poker, I started implementing some routines and habits into my life, and I thought you might find it interesting so I just go and share it here in this blog.

I want to optimize my performance on and off the tables and in my everyday life.

One of the first things I started with was intermittent fasting. I took my a while to get used to it but I don't wanna miss it nowadays anymore. So I basically stop eating around 7 pm and start eating again after my grind between 11 am and 1 pm. I then start with a green shake to break fasting roughly 2 hours before I really start eating.

I also started meditating on a regular basis 13 months ago. I found out that doing this as the first thing in the morning after getting up at 6 am fits best for me and my schedule.

After I did my meditation I do my cold shower. Usually I go for 1 min max.cold shower. After my workouts I go for maxColdStart-veryHotMid-maxColdFinish. I think it helps me relax the muscles a bit better and still getting the post-workout-shock for them to regenerate better and faster.

I started working out on a regular basis in March 2020. Bencb finally opened my eyes when I heard him saying that waiting for motivation is not making any sense, because motivation either comes from the inside or just through taking action first.
So even though I don't like doing my workouts very much I just start them and now that I have to do it.

(My workout schedule: )
Spoiler:
My workout schedule is pretty simple: I do between 100 and 200 Burpees on the weekend, mostly sundays, to kinda get ready for the new week. During the week, mostly wednesdays, I do a kettlebell/bodyweight workout with high intensitive intervalls. Its like 45 min training, 20 seconds break, 4-5 exercises and 4-5 sets, always depends. Its mostly an about 20-25 min HIIT workout.

I also do some journaling at the start and end of each day, being grateful, planning, recapping, setting goals.

One of my favourite routines is to not take my phone with me when I go to bed. It opened new possibilities to read more books or just recap the day a bit.

I drink a litre of organic green tea (mostly gunpowder) during our family breakfast, sometimes squeezing some lime or lemon into it. Mostly not, because I actually wanna do water/tea-only when I'm fasting.

I don't wanna go too much into detail here today like going over my nutrition, sleep or my working habits and work attitude or how I take my breaks, because that would go too off-topic for today.

If you would like to know anything just let me know! :-)

Thanks for checking in here! Have a great week!

Daniel

Not bad. It's always nice to know that some of your losses are from running bad and not playing bad.

Thanks for stressing that again. I already try to work hard on it, I actually thought I fixed it a good portion, but seemingly not a consistent change yet. I'll keep working on that with a main focus for sure over the next weeks!

I might just call the 4bt with Kings vs these players but once we 5bet I dont see myself getting away unless he 6bets. As played I'm calling off that turn, maybe even check-shoving flop

Thanks SimpleRick! Are u really from LA?

@de_man: Thanks for the thoughts! I have no clue about deepstack yet, just couldn't re-start the table soon enough to get rid of the more than 100 BBs...
I've heard many different opinions now on this hand

A mod might do it for you if you ask one nicely. Maybe not.

Alright guys, here is my wrap-up of May:

Unfortunetly I missed my 4 evBB goal, since I was not able to beat the zoom-pool yet

Gonna try again next month, where the goal is to reach even a 5 evBB /100 over 30k hands!

Well, I changed plans and put in another session today on the last day of may, so here is the real, final wrap-up of my may:

Reached my goals, but doing poorly on the NL25 zoom!! Still a lot of variance in both obv, so its good that there is another 30k hands coming in june!

Guys, sorry for not being really active here. I found out that I'm just not a good blogger, or just have too many other things to do with a higher prio.

I think I will quit this blog, I don't see the sense in just posting the monthly or weekly results here.

Thanks everyone who followed though!
