But more attention from people generally leads to more confidence. These things are not mutually exclusive.

So I figured out euro tables are very fishy... My HUD is playing up though so closed most of my tables until I can restart my laptop... But one of the tables I'm on has 3 really fishy players so cant leave this one yet..

I think everyone likes attention, but that's not the main motivation for getting them done..

Edit: Decided to stop for the day now. My bankroll is now: $453.29 so about $70 profit today and I've only done about 1100 hands.

Lol.

The GBP tables are even fishier than the Euro ones imo but you have to keep in mind that if you are rolled for $25NL you might not be for 25NL due to conversion rates.. Do they not have 16NL tables for fullring btw?

Also setting playing time limits rather than trying to play 4k hands/day might work out better for you, worth a try.

I just checked the 25NL tables and there only seems to be 6max ones and only 2 of them running.. And I think I'll not set myself any volume goals and just play until I either get tired, go on tilt, or just can't be bothered anymore.. I think today has been one of those can't be bothered days! I feel like I should play a little more but not really in the mood..

So I've just been looking through some hands and I came across this one... I'm really surprised how high my % was when I got it in on the flop (46%) considering the other guy in the pot had 2 pair and I only had top pair with a flush draw.. I know a pair and a flush draw is usually > 50% chance to win, but didn't expect it'd be so high vs his 2 pair.. I guess I need to start looking at situations some more in PokerStove.

I know my 3bet to the original raisers UTG raise seems a bit loose with AQs, but he was raising a lot of hands and I kind of just wanted to get his tiny stack in because I knew I'd be ahead of his range and didn't just want to call and end up having to fold to his cbet..

I don't really like your sizing...the clickback otf is pretty bad imo. Definitely should have been more, like 10. Also when the bb c/r a shove and raise, you're definitely toward the top of his range 2pr+, especially when the NFD is in your hand . As a note pr+fd most over played hand in poker. Just some thoughts.

Pretty poor call by the BB with AJ off suit. A dominated hand facing a 3bet. Very lucky to hit 2pair on the flop.

Had another bad session so stopping for a while.. Down $77.65, so my bankroll is now $375.64

There's a few hands I think I played pretty badly:

Probably should have folded the KK here, but the board was so drawy..

Ouch, sorry I'll try giving advice, not sure if it'll be any good.

Hand 1: Would it be safe to assume 25NL full ring players aren't raising with draws? Unless you've got several reads that a particular player does so.

Hand 2: A tough spot, but I think most players at 25NL full ring aren't going all-in pre-flop without KK+. It might be a good assumption to make when facing 3bets, unless you have several reads on a player he goes in with worse.

Hand 3: Shove turn? He's clearly not worried by the flush. Although in the long run, it might be better just to call turn and get value out of worse hands which bet the river (i.e. sets and 2pairs).

Brutal river and tough to find a fold. General rule of thumb which might help you in the future: when a player is betting 80-90% of his stack on the river, he's got a huge hand 100% of the time. They think it's more likely you'll call that bet than call an all-in bet.

edit: should have said 4bets, not 3bets. yeah 4bets are even more likely to be KK+. some players may only 4bet with AA.

You really provide no info on the villains here. Would be easier to comment if you gave some stats etc. But getting the KK in on the flop seems like overplaying your hand. Then you could ask yourself why are you 3betting the AK, what kind of a villain it is. How wide he opens from UTG+2, what's his fold to 3b, 4b range etc.
          05-10-2013 , 03:29 PM
Thanks for the responses... And I didn't have much info on the villians, as I'd not been playing for long so when you have like < 20 hands on them it's difficult to have any reads.. Decided to play some MTT's today... I did some FPP satellites, and won 3 of them out of about 7 entries, so got $33 in T$ now... Going to play an $11 10k gtd and some SnG's for the rest of today probably... Maybe some more cash games later this evening though.

The $11 10k GTD is going ok so far.. Still 127 players left though but got a nice stack and 20th in chips.. Let's hope I can win this.. It's still early days though!

Every time I say this though, I lose my stack straight away lol

Got a really aggro big stack on my table... So I've had to play pretty tight and shove hands into him when he 3bets that I wouldn't usually 4bet shove, but it's working out ok... 16th in chips with 52 left, and got about 37 bb

Edit: big double up just now.. Got it in with AQ vs AJ.. Now up to 188k chips and 7th with 41 remaining

Finished 17th for $67.63... Got it all in preflop with AK vs QQ and didn't hit... Feeling kinda disappointed, but nothing I could have done differently with that hand..

Just entered the $8.80 womens nightly to use up the last bit of my T$ (+ $2.80 in regular $).. Hopefully I'll cash in this

          3 remaining... guarantee'd at least $43.20 now ^^

Thanks. Also, with AK, would you recommend always flatting an UTG's raise with it (Well, unless they're raising a lot) rather than 3betting?
