Skimmed thread..

I strongly recommend playing live pokers asap. Softer games, higher WR, and much more attention(of the C- variety, but bad attention > no attention).

Do you wear a push-up bra? Those things make a helluva difference.

Tough to fold KK, but it's a board that really hits a typical calling range.

He's clearly looking to build a big pot when he check-raises OOP, so you've probably got to assume he's got a strong hand or a strong draw which is a favourite against your overpair. You can't just assume 'LOL draw-heavy, get it in'. I don't see many hands you're a favourite over. Maybe a flushdraw + gutshot straight draw? Would he ever do this with a top pair hand? What are his stats? That might give you some idea.

It might be best to give up on these marginal spots, where you think it might be marginally +EV to get it in but you're not sure. It will save you money in the long run. Or you could call and re-evaluate on the turn.

Said it before also - when he raises to $21.55, purposefully leaving just $2.70 behind, it's so so so obvious he has a huge hand.
    05-25-2013 , 07:35 PM
Had a pretty bad session tonight... Down $56.27.. And running under EV as usual heh. I think it's best I stop for tonight... Maybe tomorrow it'll go a bit smoother

Let's look at what he's repping: in my eyes he can't have AA/KK/QQ/AK (he would 3b pre imo), so a hand like JJ/99/77 is in his range. I doubt he does that with TT/88 for a GSSD. If he heas a hand like AQdd that he didn't 3b pre, we're still 43% OTF. Does he defend wide? And go crazy post flop with draws? If yes, then it maybe a ship. Readless I just don't see any other hand he c/r here on this board apart from sets and combo draws, I don't think he c/r top pair. Vs that range we have about 20% equity. Reads vs him would be useful.

So today went ok. Up $54.71 over 1518 hands.. Not getting as much volume done these days, but I've been trying to spend more time studying rather than just grinding for like 12 hours a day..

I also played 2 70 FPP hyper turbo satellites to some $3.30 MTT and won both, so kept the T$ and going to use them + $2.20 of my bankroll to play in the $8.80 Women's Nightly again tonight... I really like playing this MTT since it's a pretty small field and lots of bad players hehe

      This blog is great!
It has definitely inflated my confidence.

I'm going through the same stuff as you with the ups and down. Losing motivation from bad sessions plagues me too.

This thread has also given me ideas on how to improve my own.

      Best of luck!

      Excellent marketing OP.

I decided from now on I'm not going to be playing above what my bankroll can afford... I'm down quite a bit today so going to be grinding NL5 Zoom for a day or so to get back over the $200 mark and then grind NL10 Zoom until I'm at $500 when I'll move back up to NL25... No more taking big risks with my bankroll because at this rate I'm going to end up busto

Edit: For the next week, I'm going to aim for 10k hands per day (playing Zoom)

I'll commit my last $62.72 to go towards your PBJ fund. I'll grind it up at 10NL/25NL until the end of this month and whatever I have left, it's yours. One condition - it must go towards the purchase of teh boobs.
