nh imo. you have 33% vs this somewhat pessimistic range.

Board: Ks4hKhJdQh
Equity Win Tie
MP2 33.33% 33.33% 0.00% { AhJh }
MP3 66.67% 66.67% 0.00% { KK-JJ, AKs, AKo, KJo+ }

assuming he is flatting the suited broadways...

Are you studying AI in thailand? Would be interesting to hear a little bit about that.

So I've had a pretty good start to the month! Done around 8k hands of NL5 so far and made a profit of $58.27

Here's the graph for the month so far:

I feel like I'm playing better now.. I think a fresh month is what I needed to just get over the results from last month. Let's hope it continues this way

great start I find 5nl zoom quite easy, but I play 6max

Yeah it is kinda easy I think I've been winning at a pretty good win rate so far so hopefully it'll continue. My bankroll is back up to $183 now so hopefully I have a good day tomorrow then can move back up to NL10 and start making better money hehe

Ideally I'd love to be back at NL25 before the end of the month, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see

I literally hate poker... Tried move up to NL10.. -$75.73 in 2795 hands... Literally every single hand everyone outflops me, or rivers me, or just plays back at my marginal hands and I have to fold them, or 3bets 20% then the time i play back has the nuts... or calls a huge 3bet with 79 when I have KK (4 people in the pot so i 3bet big to try narrow it down) and flops a straight

I literally just feel like crap and want to cry

Sorry to hear the runbad... I've had this happen so many times too.

Surprised I didn't see you at all, I've been on the 10nl tables all day today.

I'm having the old doomswitch problem when you try to move up too, but on 25nl. Even though I used to crush it back in the day before BF. Then I cashed out most of my BR and have been high variance break even at 25nl ever since

It happens a lot, you either have to adjust or just play tighter for a while if you think you're spewing. Putting a stop loss on your BR is also good (4-5 BI for a single shot seems fine to me). Remember it's just a low sample, 3k hands is just one session, you can run like crap, but remember that you don't flop better/worse on average than the other players, in the long run the results will improve.

Sarah, this NL5/10 crap will take way to long to get you new boobs (and us to receive post boob-job picture(s)). Come to the dark side and join the SNG grind instead and we'll get you cuttin' yer' ol' boobs away asap.

Sorry, I know how you feel What % of effective stacks did you get in pre? If it's like 1/3 or more, you've generally just got to go with the hand, unless you've got a very good reason not to, and hope your opponent didn't hit anything that beats you. You offered incorrect odds, that's all you can really do. 79 is way more likely to hit a weak one pair type hand than it is a straight, you just got seriously unlucky in that hand. Playing 6max, you can make fish make these mistakes way more often

I never do great in SnG's... And not really sure how to get better... I do have $11 T$ that I got from a 70 FPP satellite this morning so might try some $1 SnG's.. Which ones would you recommend?

The thing is, I don't even think I was spewing at all (For most of it).. I was just getting sucked out on constantly... Like when I get most the money in on the flop and turn with top 2 pair (AJ), then a Q comes on the river to make him a better 2 pair.. When I have top set and he's drawing to a flush... The flush misses but the turn and river bring him a concealed straight.. It just seems like nothing at all was going my way..

That's normal that you would remember every beat you had but you won't remember the hands you won. If you're running below EV, you just have to get used to it (although it's hard) - remember that you "pay" for the experience of losing money by buying in at the tables. Just keep playing and the results will improve. My advice would be to review the session to see if you made any mistakes, make some notes and keep playing. You will have sessions when nothing will go your way and you will have some sessions when you'll hit every freaking flop. GL

Stop being so aggressive with your bankroll ,18 or so buy ins makes the bad day much harder to handle emotionally.
06-03-2013 , 02:46 PM
Just buyin more and play higher. Either that or grind MTTs/SNGs. You seem to be a volume nut(this is a god thing).
06-03-2013 , 02:47 PM
Or play PLO. If you want some PLO advice shoot me a pm.
