fwiw sarah, the a3dd shove is +EV but its probably slightly better in that climate to just min raise or something as people are folding to final table. You can achieve close to the same fe, and nobody is going to try and exploit by shoving light(except maybe the big stack).

Yeah, as soon as I shoved it I immediately regretted doing it.. And the big stack wasn't really getting out of line much, so I don't imagine she'd have shoved on me lightly..

So I've decided that before I play any more cash games I'm going to customize my HUD. Currently the only sort of customization it has is just to the stats that are displayed on the table, so I'm going to spend some time sorting the popups...

Does anyone have any suggestions for some useful info I should include that doesn't come on the default popups in Hold'em Manager 2?

Edit: Does anyone know if it's possible to make the bit that's displayed show stats based on what position the player is currently in?

So I noticed in a couple of other goals threads about people giving a % of their profits to charity and thought it'd be a really nice idea.. I know I'll not be making a lot of money any time soon, but I'm sure even a little helps.

I live in an area which has one of the highest child poverty rates in the UK. There's a charity in my local area called the Karis Neighbour Scheme which helps people in the area with food parcels and things, and I think it'd be nice to help them, even if it's not likely to be huge amounts...

So, once I reach NL50 ($1000 bankroll), I'll be giving 5% of any profits I make over that to them.

what are you playing 6 max still sarah? if so i have a ton of custom pop ups and can make you a custom hud but need to know which stats you understand most. Having a bunch of number only helps if you understand each fully and how to exploit.

Just had another horrible session.. -$100.10 and $53 under EV. Also had set over set (With me having the smaller one) twice, AA cracked by QQ, and countless others..

Right now I'm starting to feel like just giving up and cashing out the bit of money I have made...

Maybe I'll try grinding donkuments for a while and see how that goes

Bankroll: $547.79

Thanks for the offer.. I'm not even really sure which stats are the important ones.. I tried do some custom popups earlier and I made one for blind vs blind stuff, but that was all I made.

You're playing nitring so apart from the small pots you win from cbets, stealing blinds and profits you make from fish, all other pots will just be coolers. It's understandable when people's ranges consist solely of pocket pairs, big aces and broadway combinations.

Were you coolering anyone before you hit this bad session?

Yeah, I've coolered people too lol... But still, it just really messes up my confidence when I have bad sessions.. The last two sessions my profit line is just like \ and my ev line is like ---.. Well, not quite --- but in relation to my profit line it is

Also I think I'm going to take a break from poker... I should be studying for the rest of my exams anyway! I'll play some MTT's/SnG's today and then probably wont play anymore until after the 21st when all my exams are finished. It'll probably help to take a break when I'm not feeling confident about my game

Thread is of much higher quality than I expected from the title :P

GL with goal, I've never really understood plastic surgery but then again I'm really not required to, it's obviously a personal choice.

Another horrible session. Cashing out before I lose more than I started with... Guess I wont be reaching my goal.

Maybe I was just getting lucky before.. I was like $220 above EV when it was at it's most, then within 4,000 hands I'm just $60 above EV and lost a lot.

oh the good ole tilt snap-withdraw move. been there. keep the money in your account, take some time off, play a little lower for a while and you'll be back up in no time

I don't know if I can cope emotionally with all the swings in poker... I accidentally joined NL50 zoom by mistake, so I was just like "oh it's just 2 tables.. whats the worst that can happen".. KK vs AA for the like the 4th time in the last 2000 hands. Also I raise AA, get 3bet, I 4bet, he calls and makes trip 8's with his 86s, etc... Anyway, one thing leads to another and I'm down like another $160.. If I don't cash out I need to move down to NL10..

Right now I seriously feel like close to crying lol...
05-07-2013 , 03:38 PM
just relax, you like poker don't you? so what if you have to move down to NL10? poker is not a game where you can win every time and sometimes you just have to move down. there's no shame in that. just take some time off and get back on the grind

I do enjoy it, but it causes a lot of stress sometimes lol.. But anyway, I guess I'll leave the money there for now, not play until after my exams are over, then try NL10 and see if I can build it back up... Wish I could remove all these hands from HM2 to forget about it lol..

My bankroll is currently at: $349.49

Still in the $11 Women's Tuesday 1k GTD, so maybe I'll win back my buyin or something..

you can remove the hands but that won't make you forget about them glad you decided to keep the money. gl at NL10, hope you crush

I never understood it either, maybe Sarah can explain why she wants it.

Because they're small and it makes me feel uncomfortable with myself... I don't see the harm in getting cosmetic surgery if it makes someone feel happier with their body... There's no point going through life not liking your body..

The problem arises is that you under the assumption that it will make you happier. Thats an expensive assumption to make.

You can purge your database (i.e. remove sessions from it). At least you can do that in PT, so I'd be surprised if this option didn't exist in HM.

It will make my happier. My body makes me look like a 12 year old and I'm 25..

Also, off topic.. I decided to watch some of the high stakes games and scout326 is on one of the tables... I think it should be fun to watch.. 24 people in the waiting list to get on the table with him lol

You could try finding a different site to play on? The level of play might be easier than at Stars.

I feel kind of uncomfortable putting money on other sites after all the stuff you hear... Like when full tilt was shut down for over a year, the current problems with lock poker, etc..
