Great session. I ran up on NL10 to 250bb ($25). Then went to NL25, and lost it all eventually. After that I decided I should just play NL10 and dominate it, and when I have more roll I can come back to NL25. So I rebrought for my last $10 for the day. I ran it up from 100bb ($10) to 1231 BB ($123.08) in 9hrs and 44 minutes ( March 11th, 2024 3:54 PM to 1:38 AM EST) with 14 minute max breaks every hour.

Today was a success!

It was an okay session. Here's a hand that was really frustrating.

they hit a runner runner flush on me with second best 2 pair.

Eventually lost :/

Rebrought and played some more.

here's a hand I loved. I played 34s from LP. Faced a decent sized c-bet from the nitty OP. I called with the pot odds. Hit my straight on the turn. min raised vs their raise, they went all in and I got max value from AK top pair top kicker.

The table cleared out so this session ended earlier than I wanted it to. good session.

Trust me I wouldn't of played it but they limped the SB haha so I hit 2 pair for free. Their mistake LOL!

What can I say? This is an awesome session! I was feeling good and decided to give NL25 a try since I need to figure it out. I played and made some adjustments vs NL10. Before long I was playing NL25 comfortably like it was NL10. Taking stacks and winning pots. I played up to 303 BB from 53.8 BB. Then I eventually lost it all slowly which sucked :/. I then rebrought a couple times an in my last one I brought in for only 45.12 BB and turned it into 729.52 BB. Sick! One of the biggest differences though is that these villains don't want to call for their entire stack with second nuts nearly as often so I'll have to work on way to get max value.

Here's a couple hands I loved:

based on the action pre I realized I was ahead here.

Here I had an interesting spot:

This hand I followed my pot odds and the equity and played the hand properly.

This is my favorite hand of the day. I played suited connector from the SB since the table bonus gives me additional equity for all my hands, and also makes my opponents open wider and play more aggressively so I can get big value when I hit. I ended up flopping a flush. I check it back so the other players could bluff at it and try to get the table bonus on the hand. One bets pot. I call. The other 3-bets all in. They both then get in all in on the flop. I fade a diamond and I gain the maximum from a trash talker who had the A of diamonds.

Great session! Yeah buddy!!!! I made a total of $161.00 today. Goal smashed for today! Yeah buddy!

I decided to play the 1 AM tournament, but it wasn't running since there must not of been enough players. I saw a $5 buyin tourno for a $50 tournament ticket satellite was running. I decided to play it. I played very well and got to the final 2 on one buyin. Unfortunately I lost. I need to work on my final heads up as people love love to call lighter in a final tournament heads up (even covered) vs a cash table. Hey, I was the only one who won cash, so I guess I'm really the winner? The other guy got a ticket.

I tried to bluff the turn card IP with villain covered making it very hard to call but the villain had that card as well so he had KQ on 66QK. GG.

So today I profited $194.35. Not bad. Let's go!

Wow. That was kinda crazy. I really wanted to go to bed. It's past 12 AM. I knew I could of played NL10 and got the 31.5bbs easily, but wanted to play NL25 since we have to keep getting better. I played NL25 and there was this maniac (almost everyone was at this table). Well I decided to make a call an he had the nuts this time on a flush and I got stacked. Now I needed $28.15 or 112.6 bb for NL25... Well I got to it. Played, and it was getting down to the wire. I was running out of storage on my computer. Have probably less than 10 minutes left if that. I got a AQ. Played it but unfortunately I thought villain had an AK and he didn't so he didn't call (I moved all in unfortunately on the river after we had action on previous streets). That left me with 212 BBs with 1 out (so 211 in my stack) and I needed 212. I had like less than 5 minutes left. I waited until I had something reasonable. I got a raiser. I then 3-bet 4 or 5x. The raiser and the caller both folded, and I left the table with my goal hit.

I made $203.08 today which is double the daily goal (mostly all from NL25)! We have the $500 bankroll we needed. We're going to NL50!

So this one was interesting. So what I needed to do was play NL25. Play it up from 100bb to 200bb ($25 to $50) and then I would then go to play NL50 finally ).

Well what happened was this table was super aggro. I'm getting 3-bet a lot. Dude's shoving the SB vs LP openers. I eventually ended up down from 100bb to 21.8bb... I eventually got a pair of 33.

I then faced a 3-bet from the button. I opened UTG to 4bb. He 3-bet with a full 102bb stack from the button to 13.4 bb. I then had a decision to make. I considered my position, his positon ,my stack size, his stack size, and my hand strength and range vs range in this spot. I decided that considering I am short stacked he is very likely to do this 3-bet fairly wide especially in positon with many hands that are not as strong as my pair. I decided to go for the 4-bet all in which he could possibly fold right there, and if he called I still am a favorite vs a hand as strong as AKs.

I made the 4-bet shove. He called with A7s. We ran the cards. I faded both the A and the 7 and doubled my stack. Love that hand because when I was a beginner I may of folded in that spot.

Here's a hand I missplayed... I went all in on the river as if this was a rec. He literally called pre, flop and turn without raising or anything at all. He folded. I thought he could have an overpair, but I thought about it and there's so few pocket pairs play the way OP played that could call and realized that literally ZERO hands can call my river big value bet that don't crush me (unless of course someone just makes a ludacris river call with something crazy, or they decided to play Q6s, or K6s but honestly who plays that? lol. 66, 77, 55, 89s, JJ, 34s. AK, AQ, AJ, ATs, 88, 99, TT are all way too scared including the most likely candidate which was a busted flush draw like a KQs, A2s, A3s, A4s, A5s, A6s (only 1 combo remaining), A7s, A8s, A9s. QQ, KK, AA, probably would of 3-bet me pre so those aren't as likely to be in the pot considering I pre-raised it.
Now that I think about it you may think 56, but there's zero combos remaining of 56s due to the board run out so if he has a 6 it has to be a garbage trash hand that should of never been played in the first place, or we're chopping with A6o (3 combos remaining)

I should of went for thin value (or just checked against a aggressive opponent although this was a more passive op. I never played a pot with them before) and allowed all the busted flush draws to make a river bluff thinking that I missed my flush if I would have checked river OOP.

Here's a hand I played right. Aggressive OP raised UTG. I call the SB with JQo. I didn't raise as to not bloat the pot, or make them cautious post flop. Also I'm OOP here with a hand I would play anyway so let's play. I call, and BB comes along. I hit trips on QQ9r. I check back to allow them to bet their entire UTG range which is strong. I'm only losing to KQ (4 combos) and AQ (4 combos), and 99 (1 combo) in which if I lost to 99 then congratulatons good hand. It happens.. (yesterday one dude hit quad 8s within 30 minutes) I check to allow aggressive op to make his standard c-bet on this board that hits his perceived range. He c-bets for 2/3 pot. Of course I just call here. Raising if just going to fold out all his unpaired value hands like AK, and AJs as well as all his medium strength pocket pairs and smaller pairs, range balancing hands like suited aces, etc, etc. 9 comes on the turn. bringing me a nut full house and bringing a diamond flush draw onto the board. I check back allowing any Ax hand to continue to bluff thinking they have the nuts with QQ99A. Also it allows all his bluffs and value hands to continue thinking they are going for value. He checks turn. Not want we want. Now river comes a 4c which is basically a brick. So at this point I want value. I realize the flush has missed. I could bet small here and make it look like I am weak. This dude raised UTG so he likely is strong and has position. He's gonna want to win this pot, and try to use his position to do it as a semi bluff against the full house board. I bet small. Thin value bet, but a good sizing to also induce a re-raise while also getting me value if I just get called. As desired I get raised. He then bets pot. He has 41.8BB behind with 31.7bb out. I use my calculator 41.8 + 31.7 = 73.5. I bet 73.6 (gotta account for rounding issues of course). OP called with TT and he's STACKED and disappeared! GG!!!!! THAT'S HOW IT'S DONE ! When I was newer I might of got carried away and checked down, or raised flop. I played this hand perfectly. Yeah buddy!

Last hand I'll detail. 3.4bb raise from OP UTG. 1 call from the CUTOFF. I 3-bet big to get heads up. Cutoff folds. I flop nut flush draw with 2 over cards. I check. OP bets pot. I call. turn brings 2 flush draws. I bet ops entire stack + 0.1 (rounding problems. Gotta get the all in) as a semi bluff to represent a set, and I still have massive massive river equity. OP calls. I hit the A on the river. OP stacked with QQ. Yeah buddy!

And BOOM we now had 212 BB... We're going to NL50 Baby! Went from 100bb to 21.8bb to 212 bb. Let's ****ing go!!!!

I'm going to NL50 next session. I may take a little break since I wrote this whole post for 50 minutes LOL.

So I made it up to NL50 today and, yeah buddy, we did pretty good for a first session!

I ended up with 304bb. That's $101.95 profit in a little over 1 hour. Let's go!! Way easier than NL25 which is crazy. These NL50 dudes I was playing were insanely scared to play anything at all past
pre-flop. It was unreal. I'm talking people instant folding to 2bb min raises 90% of hands. I stacked the same guy twice. my KK vs his J, and then my AK vs JJ. I was on the button and he was on the
small blind in both hands, and thy both played identially pre flop Imao. I flopped trip kings on the AK hand, and faded the 2 remaining Jacks. Made a great check raise against an aggro. Great
session.
We hit the $100 goal for today already!! I have made $135.23 today. Let's go!

Unfortunately I withdrew the money I had at the table for I only have $50 in the account so we have to start from scratch. I am still getting comfortable with NL50 so I kinda wanted to take my winnings. Also there was only 2 other people at the table so I wanted to wait until more people show up. I ended up 2bb down from the high at the table for me which was 305bb or 306bb. I'll pass that in the next sessions. 2 days of $100+ in a row. Let's go!!

So I played very well and in the zone. I saw a satellite was running. It was in late reg with a few minutes left. I was torn. I decided to play. I got in, but unfortunately my 77 got rivered and I busted in my first hand. I then played the next one. Played very well, and finished in 3rd and got the ticket. Yeah buddy! Then I went to the actual event. Unfortunately, I lost. I made a good play early on and got 46,000 chips more for my 100,000 stack (I think that's how many chips I had) but unfortunately I did a OOP C-Bet against a dude who hasn't quite found the fold button yet... I then later check shove semi bluffed him the second time instead of OOP C-Bet on a Broadway high flop (with a underpair after he bet the flop IP and he called with a middle pair not even connected to the board or even a draw :/. These calling stations guys are annoying. It's tough to get the adjustments perfectly for a table sometimes as you gotta get it right perfectly. Obviously don't wanna bluff a calling station, but sometimes it's tough to really tell the player type when you end up with a tricky hand you have to get involved with so early. I have gotten 5th, then 5th, then 3rd in this tourno in a row last year so I know how to do it but its tought to actually do it when you're there and it's game time, you know? I'm getting better!

One thing I've learned is that the satellites are harder than the tournament itself often (IE way less solid regs) so you can't make as many plays against them. You literally gotta play ABC poker which can be hard as someone who actually makes plays when needed.

I was steamed though after losing that main event tourno of the day cause some dude wants to call a check / shove with a middle pair :/ . So I took a break. Overall I'm playing very well today. Kills me because there's literally less than 100 opponents, and I have the skill. I just gotta be patient. I didn't play my range, I played hands that were wider than I should have played for this specific tourno... frustrating. I gotta be tighter in the early stages for this specific tourno but I keep messing it up being impatient.

I can't wait until I have the roll to just buy in for the full $100 and then I can get the repetition in to be able to make the right plays everytime in this specific tourno.

Well, this session was something. So basically, I was a lot better in comparison to when I ended the last session, but I definitely was still frustrated inside from losing the main event of the day earlier. I decided to play the cash table and earn some money. We might as well. I played well for a while. However, there was a hand that was just ludacris. I bluffed a rec with nothing... of course they called with A terrible kicker on a 3-bet on a straight... The play was terrible on my part, I must of been frustrated from earlier. I lost a lot of stack in that hand for basically no good reason :/ . Dumb play by me there. I eventually lost that session. Then tried to earn back my losses. Basically the whole goal of this session was to earn back at least the $20 I lost in session 3. I ended up losing $50. Then I went to nl25 and turn $20 to $50. Then back to NL50. Then lost a massive pot on the river with a hand that I shouldn't of even played but I got in for free... I most the maximum with a straight 9 to K vs T to A... ARGH!!!!! I was down to 15.5bb. Ran it up to 126 bb, and then eventually lost it all over time (some mega aggros joined the table...) .. I was trying to get to 140bb. I was so close! I was so pissed now because I spent my money for March 15th for the entire 24 hour period until March 16th because of my deposit limit... I then got rake back! I now had about $16. I decided I could get up to the money I lost. The goal was to play NL10, then NL25, then NL50. Unfortunately no one was at NL 10 (it was super early morning). I played NL25 and hit the money target needed for NL10 and NL25. Then I wanted to go to NL50. I waited but there was no one so I played NL25 instead. By this time I'm getting tired. I realized though I'm only actually down about less than $20 if I include my rakeback I earned. I decided I would play NL25 and go for 200BB (at least $20). I didn't want to wait until tomorrow because then I would be under my high for today. (I wish I would of looked and realized I already hit $100 for the day). I decided to play. One hand I tried to bluff a fish and he called with KK after I 3-bet him on the turn flush with the river paired and the A on the flop... he called with KK (wtf) although he did have the blocker to the nut flush so it did make sense for him to call the turn :/ . So I lost a big pot there. Got me down to 60bb. I ran it up to 130bb at one point. I was getting close. Then I ran into set over set. I semi bluffed check raised the turn flush to allow OP to bluff at the flush / overcard on the turn and to look weak so I could of been doing a standard c-bet. Let him think he's floated me and raise with his whole range. He bets 1/2 sizing. I raise him all in (not all in, I typed the bet) and I get called by a flopped set of 88 vs my flopped set of 33s :/ DANG! I lost the hand down to 39.4bb. Then I lost the hand immediately after. As this op had one of the nut hands. I then rebrought. Ran it up to 116bb. Lost with AKo with an Ace on the river vs A8o 2 pair (8 on flop A on river) when I moved big on the river cause dude kept calling the streets. I could of played that hand better. This table they were calling wider for larger sizing, so I should of sized up. I was too tired I probably should of not been playing by this point. So that was it. I'm down about a little less than $90 from my cash high (not including the value of the satellite $100 ticket of course). Painful, but let's keep crushing! Just can't play when tired and frustrated. Should just end the session there early.

I ended the day at about $45 profit (not including the rakeback). Unfortunately not $100, and I could of gotten way way more. It's frustrating, but I just have to conceptualize it, and play better tomorrow. I really wish I would of dominated that main event tourno, and not withdrew the money from NL50 session 1, but oh well...

I still have about $16. So I'll have to play NL10 or NL25, or both to get up to $50, and the play NL50. Let's do it!

Once I get to $1,000 then I can play NL100, so that's gonna be epic. Let's keep it going!!!

Pretty standard. Played NL25. Lost my whole stack vs QQ when they hit a set. I rebrought. Earned back the loss, and then at least $25 more. Now I had the NL50 buyin. I then went to NL50. Played, and got to 200-something blinds, but I keep getting stuck between 200 BB and 300bb (my record is 306 BB in my stack at NL50). Didn't win any big hands here overall. I folded 99 and it would of stacked 2 people, I ended up squeezed vs AA or KK and open raiser when OR raise, I call, LP raise, OP shove. If only I could have called! I suppose you could say LPs 3-bet range is wider than usual from LP but it really is played type dependant and still I couldn't call an all-in potentially sandwiched between both of them without information about the LP player as they just stat down.

I ended up going all the way down to around 30bb and then going back up hovering around 100bb at least twice. I have a deep stack to my left who loves to float. NL50 is definitely more tricky, and I'm just getting into it and learning how to play this stake. I don't expect to be dominating it on literally day two.

Getting better. If I have gotten and stayed at at least 200b I would of been at a new high for my roll.

Well this wasn't my best. I payed off a TAG the absolute maximum with his AKo on all the streets when I had AQo. He 3-bet pre. Bet all 3 streets. I KNEW based on the board layout and action HE HAD AK specifically (at the least), and I was also loosing to basically everything thing he could possibly have by the river. AA, AK, AJ, AQ (chop), AT doesn't make much sense. I'm only beating a high card... Losing to a light AJs, AT doesn't make sense, losing to all value bluffs such as all pocket pairs. AK is beating me. AJ has trips. AT is not in the pot. I still make the call on the river anyway and saw the bad news... WTF. I must of not drunk enough water today, cause that's usually what the problem is when I make a ludacris call like this when I KNOW I'm beat :/...

I rebrought, and I lost my 30bbs trying to bluff a flush in which OP unfortunately had the nuts, which is gonna happen if you're actually bluffing often enough.

Whatever, I've been playing for a long time by that point (this session was only like 19 minutes from the last one, but I didn't really stop thinking poker like a real break because the short breaks allowed, and I didn't take my 14minute break (I didn't yesterday either) since there's only like 1 table maximum for NL50 ever at one time in my room and they lift you off the table for only 6 minutes on on room, and 15 minutes on the other so I had to only wait like 5 minutes which isn't really a break.

I do need to figure out more deceptive ways to get value because these NL50 people don't call as easily.

Getting better!

Well? Not so good this session. I had to wait hours from the last session since I spent my spending limit for March 15th from the last sessions losses. So now it's March 16th calendar wise, so I played NL25, needed to turn $20 to $50 so I could play NL50. I noticed a OP was calling down light. I fast play my middle pair gut shot straight draw. Unfortunately he had the top pair this time. In a different hand I tried to double barrel on flush turn but got check raised. Eventually, I had another hand of QQ vs AK and lost when OP hit the K on the flop (we got it all in pre). Then I had to rebuy for $20.

I played, but got turn check raised on one pot. Then later I got all a good hand and hit 2 pair, I c-bet but OP check folded unfortunately. Eventually I got AA from UTG. Get called by BB. OP leads on T67r for pot. I 3-bet 3x, he 4-bets. I hope I'm not going against a set and I make the call all in. He has the 77, and I was stacked. Same dude as the first buyin. So I now have to wait until March 17th :/. Good news is today will be a study day, and at least I will not be able to lose more than $40 if I'm not playing my A game, and I still have plenty of money left. Sucks but at least we still have $500 so I can still play NL50 (under $500 then I would have to move down to NL25).

After the fact I realized the board had 87s straight on it. I was hoping I was running up against AT, but honestly it would likely of been ATs if it was to call from the BB against a 4bb UTG raiser (although some people open wider because they already invested 1bb, but I raised a decent amount so it was not a min raise), and based on the board texture there's only 1 combo of ATs remaining as I'm literally holding 2 aces, so it's much more likely he has a monster hand. Also, when I got 4-bet it makes it even more dangerous. Based on the pre action it makes sense that he would just flat call 66, 77, and TT, and ATs. Once I face the 4-bet now it's super likely he has 66 (3 combos), 77 (3 combos), TT (3 combos) as opposed to KK (6 combos, but is likely to 3-bet pre especially vs UTG since they can just get it in vs that range, QQ (6 combos, but likely to 3-bet pre), and JJ (6 combos. Could flat). So We're looking at [KK, QQ, JJ, ATs] (19 combos) vs [66, 77, TT, 87s] [12 combos]. Wow, so actually in this spot I'm winning 12/31 = only 31% of the time. But when you account for likely pre action (IE discount KK, and QQ) now we're looking at [JJ, ATs] (7 combos) vs [66, 77, TT, 87s] [12 combos] and 12 - 7 losers = 5 winners. 5 / (7 winning + 12 losing) = 5 / 19 = only 26% chance we're winning in this situation. That's not good.

Wish I could do this fast at the table! They only give ya like 20 seconds lol.

Well, I'm getting better.

END OF WEEK 1:
Up $155.07.
Moved up from NL25, to NL50.

Still getting used to NL25, and NL50. NL50 is easier for me overall, the aggression in NL25 is way higher in my room.

Next desire is to get up to $1,000 so I can then play NL100. We have a little over $500 now so I can keep playing NL50 right now. Today (March 17th, 2024) will be a study day since I've spent my buyins already unfortunately. Gotta keep getting better, and make sure I'm getting max value again like I was at NL10.

Let's do it!

March 16th, 2024 Session 1:
Session Change: Lost $40
Session Playtime Duration: 1hr 1minute
Current Balance: $469.29
March 9th, 2024 Challenge Starting Balance: $354.22

Played NL25 to get to NL50. Villian got runner runner for a nut flush vs my pocket pair.

Second buyin got up from 80bb to 215bb or so. Decided to keep going because there was a bunch of not so good players + I wanted to earn back the 80bb ($20) I lost in the first buyin and this seemed to be a great table to do so at with my 200bb as well. I ended up losing a lot to a rivered set. I tried to bluff a river, and the dude called with AJ A high on a flush river with a paired board river card. In the final hand I lost with JJ vs AQ. Nothing really to say. I did at one point get max value with a flopped set vs AA. Unfortunately that's it for March 17th calendar wise. :/....

I have to move down to NL25 now, since I have less than $500 :/ . Bummer.

All my results are public.

No reply to my great MTT and now cash table results huh? I see...

You should be trying to improve your game instead of hating on someone who's improving theirs.

But since you love me so much I wrote you a poem to return the favor.

Feel free to on your profile page. I wrote it just for you .

Poem Title: Itsy Mitsi

Poem:
The itsy Mitsi spider went to the poker room.

Down came Mallot1 and took their chipstack (BOOM!).

Up came the sun and dried the tears away.

And the itsy Mitsi spider went to rebuy again.

You should be working to improve your game instead of repeatedly hating on someone who's improving theirs.

March 17th, 2024 Session 1:
Session Change: Lost $45
Session Playtime Duration: about 5hours 38 minutes
Current Balance: $469.29 (Got $6 rakeback)
March 9th, 2024 Challenge Starting Balance: $354.22

Seems to be a downswing right now. I keep getting cooled on the river. K9s second nut flush on the river vs fullhouse on the the river 4. I get in 22 vs the aggro who's raising everything and he has KK this time. My OP rivers a 3 for a 2 pair vs my KT with K3o. JJ vs KQ hit K on the flop. etc, etc. I guess we gotta ride the wave and it will pass.

My goal at NL25 was to get to NL50. I got enough money to do that, but had 20+ minutes left of my session and I don't jump stakes mid session so I kept playing and lost a lot eventually and eventually lost my stack unfortunately.

55 flopped Trips vs 79o. All in on turn, hits T on river for a straight. Later got bluffed by a maniac that just sat down so I didn't know at the time. Later bluff on a turn scare card and get called with a middle pair from the flop with a paired flop and turn over card (wtf). I 3-bet on river flush, get called with the straight. I lose the rest of my money with AQ vs K9 flopped straight vs my top pair top kicker with my Q. WTF.
