I guess we can start with that hand.
Stacks are around $1500 which is the max buy in.
Villain is a Scotsman in seat 9 in this mid thirties. He seems fairly tight and straight forward seems like a solid player.
Not sure what my image is. I've been at the table maybe 40 minutes at this point.
PF: A couple limpers and I make it 30 from the CO with 8s7s, button calls, SB calls, villain in bb makes it 165, folds back to me and I call, rest fold.
Flop(400): Qd Td 6s
Check, check
Turn(400): 3s
He bets 225, I call
River(850): Qh
He checks, I shove for like 1100 as it's pretty clear he has AK at this point and I think he could probably fold. But in retrospect I should probably just bet 450? idk. Anyways he tanks for maybe a minute and calls with AK. I get his call. I like my line in practice when I actually have the KQs or TT. But not really as a bluff.
Second hand:
$1500 stacks villain is a jovial looking heavy set German guy maybe around early 30s and seems to have done well sitting on around 3k or so. We have only been playing about an hour he is fairly loose semi passive pf. And plays a little tricky post flop where I have seen him min CR the flop with very strong hands and then check a safe turn. He did this twice. We had one hand early on where I 3bet his HJ open pf with AQo and them he CR'd me on a K 8 5r board. Check calls a 8r turn then jams a brick river.
PF: Relatively short stacked Korean lady who has like $400 limps in CO, Villain limps on Button, I make it 30 from the SB with AQo, bb folds and they both call.
Flop(90): A 2 Tr I bet 30, fold, call.
Turn(150): Q completes rainbow.
I bet 125, he then makes a comment saying "what is this? you bet flop tiny and now you betting big? come on that's too much." Then he makes it 300, I call.
River(750): 6.
I check and he eyes my stack before betting 500.
Hero...
H1- seems fine, although I see people hero calling in these type of runpouts way more than they're supposed to live. My guess is they don't encounter many balanced Top pair check backs
H2- I'd go with the live read and fold. Whenever I see people make jokes/jobs like that during a hand, they've got the goods
