A bit of a change of topic.

So I've received some inquiries regarding what I've been doing w/ investing and stuff so I guess I'll talk about it here.
The tldr is basically not much different than what I was doing before.

My largest holdings are still AAPL, COST, KO, MCD, VTI. Last couple years have started to accumulate GOOG due to employment, and I don't really see that changing. I sold off my NVDA recently after holding for many years.
My 401k is just in various Vanguard and Fidelity index stuff I don't look at it at all(well maybe like twice a year).

Then a smaller portion I keep in a HYSA currently using Marcus Goldman Sachs and have been doing the $10k/yr ibonds thing the past few years.

My biggest loss during the downturn was a six figure loss speculating on a Square bounce that never happened. I bought a bunch of LEAPs and they just plummeted into the ground w/ no recovery. But it was a calculated risk I was willing to take the L on and in the end it didn't really affect anything big picture. My NVDA sell off alone pretty much was a wash w/ that loss.

As far as speculative plays this year I bought some puts on CMG, TSLA, and MSTR. Of course I closed too early, but I always tend to take profits too early on this kind of stuff because I'm not psychic.

I've sold small put positions on TGT, DIS, NKE, and PYPL most weeks this year. Not really interested in growing a position, but a spot where I wouldn't mind either way and just generate a small dividend essentially if they keep their floor. Which is pretty much perfect for this type of strategy.

Got into house flipping a couple years ago, but after a couple of projects it's really more time consuming than I want to do at least right now. And at least in the area I live in it's hyper competitive so there aren't many opportunities and the margins are pretty thin. A lot of investors w/ big money that buy up everything so it's really difficult to find a good deal.
I think I made like $25k after taxes over the course of 6 months and it's not worth it considering the amount of capital I had to put into work. Like you're buying a run down house for $800k and selling for $1.1m you think you're making bank right? No. Rehab alone is like $150k. Plus realtor commissions and all that. If you're willing to play a longer game and hold the house for 2yrs there's some tax advantages and stuff, but that's not for me at least right now.

I think if I was in a better area it could be a good business for sure. But this area there are so many flippers I see lose money because they simply buy at too high a price and think anything will sell later. They have no understanding of the costs/margins transaction costs, etc.

Anyways that's about it on that front.

As far as poker goals, I guess I've just been kind of playing like I've been but have never really sat down to think about them in a concrete way. But the more I've played as of late it's kind of been on my mind so I guess I'll outline them here in no particular order.

-Improve my understanding of the game in order to have the ability to play and crush higher stakes live, but also online(though this isn't a primary goal).

-Be a winner at 200NL on ACR, I think this would translate to the above item.

-This one isn't really a goal at all but more of an aspiration or wish as you have limited control of it especially w/ the volume that I play, but I'd like to have a significant live tourney cash. It's something I've never really achieved. I had some early success with a couple of 5 figure ones early in my playing days, but have never been able to replicate it since. Though it's not surprising for playing 2 tournaments a year.

-Continue to work on my mental game. I think this portion is where I have improved the most recently and am pretty motivated in seeing this progress.

I think my current strengths in game are preflop play and kind of feeling spots I can be very aggro.

On the flip side the weakest points I need to work on are as the SB PFR vs the BB in SRP and defending out of the BB in SRP.

I'm definitely not doing things like probing turn OOP enough and things like that and other post flop stuff.

So I guess the last goal is to work on refining my game to have more nuance than just being an aggro monkey all the time.

Some oddities I see in GTO Wizard are stuff like this. I wonder what triggers the solution as in my mind is clearly wrong, but idk maybe I'm that ignorant to modern day theory?

Was quite surprised to see their hand, but studying this hand seems like I made 1 big mistake and 1 minor one.

Big mistake was calling the river. I see even KK is folding half the time (only calling when it's holding a club). And AQ is folding like half and KQo only calling sometimes w/ the Q and also using that as a bluff jam more than calling and KQs is folding pure.

So my call w/ no diamond was a clear fold.

The minor mistake was the flop sizing. Seems only a quarter pot is used and particularly w/ my exact holding the large bet is bad as it funnels villain to isolate myself vs AQ which I think a lot of villains can easily value on the river especially if they hold the A which makes my river call even worse in retrospect.

I got away with this one, but interesting to see that I basically only have A9 here when I have value on this line.
Good thing villain didn't know that or they could jam it in my face a lot here.

GTO checks this back 100%, but my read from playing w/ this villain is that his turn probe is like 100% so very wide and he will call all his Ax and Kx and even some Qx versus me and obviously 33-55.

Basically breaking even or slightly losing. Still got some work to do.

I open KcJc in EP, fish calls on Button, OMC jams for 20,700. Back to me. Fish has about 25k and could go either way if I call

Seems super close. If I call and lose I have 110k.

Maybe it's a no brainer call idk. But it's hard tk get chips so I fold.

Fish ends up calling with Tc7c and OMC has TT.
