Part 1 - Introduction

I'm not american, so excuse my english. I just turned 30 years old, got a steady part-time job which pays me pretty well and got plenty of time to dedicate to poker. I've played since 2006 but haven't played for a year.

My history in poker: Played NL25 with a small winrate back in 2008, but in 2010 I couldn't beat NL10. NL2 and NL5 were easy for me though.

At MTTs, I've had a decent ROI, but only in small stakes (like 2k of profit or so). I'd run super hot in a month and then run dead for the next 4 months, but I've never really put tons of volume.

I hate SnGs, never played them, but had a little fun playing micro SNG HU Hypers, I think it could be an option.

I've put a lot of thought into poker, had accounts in DC, PXF and CR, watched a lot of videos, read some material, read a lot of forum threads, I'm no newb, so I'm familiar with a lot of concepts.

Part 2 - Objectives
I want to be able to make 2k\month steadily starting from the lowest possible stakes (NL2). Plain and simple. No matter what game I play (that I'll discuss in the Questions part). And of course, reaching this, go from there and make other plans. That would be a good wage in my country. Lots of people live here (a cheap life of course) with less than that so that's my primary goal. Of course I want to be rich and reach high stakes and be Ivey and bla bla bla, but let's have my foot in the ground first.

Part 3 - Questions

1 - What game to play? Of course the answers are the one I like more, or the one I'm better at. But the funniest game to me is that who gives me more money. Besides that, just for the fun, I love cash games and MTTs. But for MTTs, there's always the time factor. I hate spending 8 hours chained to my notebook. So the question is more towards what's the best field? Where's the money at?

2 - Where should I play? After black friday I'm scared of playing anywhere besides PS, but even there I leave only 10% of my bank, the rest is in Neteller (in which I don't completely trust either). Oh, btw, I'm restarting with a 1,2k bank to comfortably grind micros. Is there any reason to play anywhere else? If there is, does it worth to play there at micros? Since I don't want to have to play 10 trillion hands to release eventual bonuses...

3 - Should I get a coach or is it feasable to achieve my goal without doing it? If not, at what stakes the cost\benefit is ok?

4 - Could I reach the 2k\goal playing NL50? or PLO50? I'm not a talented poker player, but I think of myself as an intelligent person.

5 - I have PT3. Do I need to buy HM or it's fine?

6 - Should I subscribe to poker schools? Which one (s)?

7 - Is it extremely important to focus in one single game? Are there stories of winning players in both cash and MTTs? NLHE and PLO?

8 - Do you guys honestly think it's possible to make a living out of poker nowadays, starting to take it really seriously at 30 ys old?

9 - Should I start a blog?

Sorry about the wall of text. But wanted to clarify a lot of points before starting a thread at PG&C Session. Thx

Oh, I know it's hard to answer to a ton of questions like this, so feel free not to answer them all, or even to answer only one. Any help is appreciated.

I was going to read and answer but became excessively angry when I saw you say "I'm not American so excuse my English". WTF? Why would being AMERICAN mean your ENGLISH would be better?

Ok. Ive calmed down a little tiny bit.

1: Play cash games - Zoom. Start at 10nl.

2: Pokerstars

3: dont get a coach until you plateau around 25/50nl

4: yes

5: you are fine with pt3

6: no

7: focus on one game til you get great at it is the general answer

8: it is possible to make a living out of poker, regardless of when you start.

9: probably not.

Why should I start with zoom??

Thx dude! I'm really ansious to start playing again, so I'll start posting some results ASAP. Maybe every 5k hands. But I'll start in NL2 just to feel the zoom thing. Thx again for the feedback.

Oh, and just out of curiosity, what should be my goals to climb limits? I'm starting at NL2 zoom, so to climb to NL5 I should think of a certain BB\100 in X hands? Or number of buy-ins won? I'm thinking about 25 buy-ins of NL2 and then start adding NL5 tables. Is that fair?
