It’s funny reading the title of this thread over 3 years later and remembering, “Oh yeah, it’s all about following impulses!”

So I guess doing this record was an impulse as well? Sometimes I forget the real reason why I’ve started things.

At least this is more of an impulse than showering 3x a day and being on the edge of suicide. Originally I bought all of the equipment to record acoustic songs at home. But the more I developed the songs I had, the more I realized some of them NEEDED to be full band. And I KNEW I couldn’t do them justice no matter how many mixing tutorials I half watched on YouTube.

I go into the first studio that got back to me in Clovis. At this time I’m looking for anything that will get me through the day, any type of sign, any type of hope. I latch onto Angel numbers as the delusional somewhat spiritual poser I am. I keep seeing 111, 1111, and 1212 everywhere, mostly on clocks. I show up to this studio and wouldn’t you know it? The address is 2727 but it’s in a complex which warrants another number for some reason. As I walk in I see a giant 111 by the door. (111 for the non spirtualmumbojumbo speakers mostly stands for new beginnings and being open to new experiences)

I walk in with a face completely beet red due to my acne scar laser treatment I underwent the day before.

Hey great to hear from someone in here other than myself! I am still playing live low stakes yes. Long term future? No way. I’m dragging myself in everyday and boozing every session at this point to get through it.

A lot of it will be about the music I’ve made and am continuing to create along with my real time journey of going from an open mic performer to whatever is in store for me. But I plan on having some “real life” posts similar to the ones I’ve made in here. One for sure I will write about is the experience I had trying Ayahuasca for the first time recently.
