I've been playing poker since I was 17... I'm now 36. I'm constantly putting my whole roll on the table, hence the screen name. I play on Stake.us and Global Poker. I'm currently broke but I get paid next Thursday. Not sure what I want to do at this point but know I got to do something different. I'm a little desperate and sick and tired of blowing thousands of dollars for no reason.

I think I'll load $300 and start in 10NL on global. Cashing out every time I hit $350 (Cash out $50+ and keep $300 on for the roll) I did that for a while and it was working out for me. Not the best player in the world by any means but I can hold my own. I hand read well and pick my spots. Sometimes I just punt it straight in to the abyss though. Looking for some accountability and something to do while I'm broke so I created this account.

I grew up playing Age of Empires, Command and Conquer, StarCraft. So I've always been in to strategy games. Never really been good at them, just kind of average. Like poker.

Goals: Only drink water, quit smoking cigarettes, don't get fired from my job.

I think I'll put $200 on Stake and start at the bottom in 2NL. If I can grind at a certain limit for an extended period of time it would be progress. I'll also start using bb view instead of cash amount so I'm not attached to the money. I'm always playing in currency so it'll be different getting used to 100bb's and just playing for bbs.

The goal is not to win or lose but to stick to a limit. If I win great, if not whatever. I'll just study (I posted in a different thread that I'm going to re-sub to Micro Grinder Poker School.) and focus on improving and developing better habits. Maybe 1-2 hours of play a day [more on the weekends] and an hour of study a day.

Hey Busto! I grew up on StarCraft 2, worked my way up to Masters 2 at one point in time, playing zerg as a teen. I just started playing poker a couple years ago, but I am a small winning player in NLHE 5 adn 10nl cash games on Bovada/Ignition-- (at least i think?) Thinking about moving up to 25nl or 50nl soon and see how that goes. I'm always looking to improve so if you ever wanna go over hand histories together to give each other some pointers or even course swap, get at me.

We are basically the ying and yang then because I have the opposite problem of being a bankroll nit and being resistant to moving up.

If you're a consistent winner though why not grow your roll and move up stakes? You're worth more than 10nl mate if you're studying.

I loaded $20 on to Stake. Been playing 2NL. Lost two buy ins and automatically wanted to jump up... but I didn't. Slow progress I guess.

I changed my mind in the 2nd post. I'm going to start off in 2NL on stake instead. So I won't be withdrawing, just moving up stakes when appropriate.

Yeah looking back at it, kind of nuts.

Started with $50 .. had a lot of unexpected expenses. Up to around $130 after splashing around for a bit. Now I'm straight on the 2NL grind.
