Was somewhat sick the past few days and playing didn't seem like a good idea so mostly study and 10z on ACR
Getting decent at SB vs BTN 3bp. Learning the correct CB strategy seems good since people play BTN well vs b33 and on certain boards (ex: T high disconnected rainbow) b33 is a significant mistake with most hands.
Running like absolute dogshit on Global but this is my month on Iggy so I can't complain. 3k hands there today managed to only lose 1 BI.
Main leaks I need to fix:
Low 3b OOP from BB
Overfolding BB vs SB 3bb, BTN 2bb, and UTG-CO 2.5bb
Find more light 3 bets and BB calls vs fish. If their UTG open looks like a BTN open I can be even wider with 3b/calls given the skill edge. Probably fine from any position, even if regs try to cold 4b light they'll probably only reach a bit over GTO.
Same thing with 4bets to a lesser degree vs LAGs. On Global especially even the nittier regs seem to fold a lot to my 2x 4bets
Bluffing river vs fish and acting surprised when they call with bottom pair. Maybe I should just b33 to get folds from high cards/missed draws. Maybe overbet
Turn overbets SRP
Max exploit vs limps
2.5k hands yesterday, -$200 mostly from a bit of 100nl
Different approach today more notes than just spamming drills and glancing at specific spots/hands
SB vs BTN 3bp (954r) and took some notes on it
Spoiler:
Then did 100 postflop hands with random boards
BTN vs BB srp (Qs7s2d)
Spoiler:
Goal is 3k hands today, lots of time this week
Gonna take a break, start playing after dinner and grind ~5-6 hours taking breaks. Plan is play good 100nl tables, don't not pay off the nits too much, and attack some obscenely weak checking ranges
5k roll for 2024 doable with luck (~6bb/100 50nl)
Tomorrow I'll look at a couple rivers in depth for both and do CO vs BTN 3bp
2.5k hands but tables were kinda dead when I started. Decent amount of 100nl so I played less tables to focus. Questionable plays for sure but made some good folds vs nits
Tables not that good but one guy spewed 2.5 BI to me in 3 hands
2.3k hands got home late. Was down 6 buyins before I took a break. Kept running into ridiculous hands and felt like I was just paying off the nits (vs unknowns, my note taking is solid).
Chat game strong managed to tilt a nit into spewing.
Only 1k hands today and very disappointing study volume. No coffee possibly the cause. Realized while playing I had no idea what I was doing in a BB vs BTN 3bp spot so that'll be tomorrow.
RNG-ing turn/river seems like a crutch but stats like BB 3b vs CO are embarrassingly low so I might use one just pre. Definitely surprised me that Saulo Costa recommends it for all players.
How do you think you are gaining an edge by just RNGing every turn and river? Those are the spots where opponents play the worst and you have the biggest opportunity to exploit.

2.8k hands today. 1st session I played well, didn't tilt at all down ~$300 and got unstuck through sheer skill. Folded a rivered set to 3/4 and it wasn't painful. 2nd session pretty smooth, no 100nl. Nice fold with TT when the fish min 3bets and pots flop on J75 (and showed AA).
Did win a buyin in ~100 hands of 25z on ACR very familiar names. I remember hero folding a K high flush to rublacklist back at 10nl because I thought they were a Russian volume nit before I slowly realized they had some moves. I guess they have to when everyone has so many hands on them.
I feel like there are two reasons people may resort to using an RNG postflop.
1. They aren't sure if they should bet.
2. They aren't sure how often they should bet.
If you don't know whether or not you should be betting, then I would avoid using an RNG. Instead I'd try to find reasons for betting, i.e. what worse hands call (when value betting), what better hands fold (when bluffing), or do I need protection and will I gain protection by betting (with those medium hands).
Now if you just aren't sure how often you should be betting then I think using an RNG can be fine in some occasions if you aren't certain which action is actually the highest EV.
Still mostly (75%?) 50nl and only 1.4k hands. I'll revise the volume goal to 250k as I don't think I'll play any fast fold.
So far I've been looking at XR in 3bps as I was missing a ton of those, and turn/river play after XR flop in SRP since it's easy for me to make big blunders there.
Can i ask why the rightmost 10ish% of the iggy graph looks like it does? Basically did you go on a heater and get called nonstop or did you adjust?
Yeah I wasn't really playing there since before this thread (busy sun running 30bb/100 at BetOnline 10z). I came back after a lot of study to play 50nl reg tables which were softer and I had table selecting, notes, and HUD stats. Strategy wise definitely went away from trying to induce aggression, more good/painful folds, calling a lot vs fish, and taking the obvious bluffs. Mostly godmoding of course but if I plug all the 50nl including Global into variance calc it's saying .002% chance if I'm breakeven. Not really overconfident I've been 75% studying since I don't want to keep playing 50nl with 120bi, but I don't see a big edge at 100nl without a fish.
Self-imposing two new rules:
6 tables at absolute most, I got to 9 briefly today and my game definitely suffered.
No playing lower than I'm rolled for. I'm 95% sure my $/h is higher at 50nl but I don't think I'll get to 200nl that way. Worst case I drop down at $3k which I'll be okay with as long as I'm meeting my goals in terms of improvement.
2nd session I did both. Was fun battling, I rarely see light calls so I'm going to assume they're overfolding and start really blasting in most spots. The flips were not in my favor but definitely bad plays like calling a river donk shove vs reg when the flush comes in. Overall 7/10, I do think I played quite fearlessly and was able to make the "uncomfortable" plays.
Will try the 100nl games on Iggy next session, goal before then is to make sure I'm finding all the cold 4bets, 4bets, and BB 3bets.

Fri/Sat games definitely better managed to keep 1-2 fish at each table
Studying was meh today didn't feel very focused, played well though and no mental game issues. Aggression definitely working hopefully they don't catch on. I really doubt they'll adjust to me overfolding certain river spots but some of the bluff lines I took I almost felt I should note they saw the showdown.
1.1k hands last couple days, caught some punts and definitely ran above AIEV. Some funny chat moments like getting berated by the biggest nit at 100 for 3betting A5s bvb. Not exactly sure how to counter them, I'm guessing 3b light+CB flop+giveup combo, folding anything but QQ+ AK maybe low pockets and connectors to their 3b.
Fairly busy but have almost nothing next week so 40k hands doable for Jan.
BR $6970, couldn't play much the past few days but 2.4k hands today
Down a few buyins and then an insane sunrun. Feel like I played well, plenty of nitty folds and good bluffs with meh/bad combos. There was someone playing very aggressive post (lots of huge river bets repping thin in a short # of hands but also 4x jamming flop, etc) I probably should've made a couple hero calls against.
Tried playing on Ignition but less hands/h and I didn't notice many fish
Pre/Flop are RNG, turn thought I'd XR less with Ah
BR $7940, at 27k hands for the month couldn't play much.
One hand my keyboard spazzed out and I 3bet to 99 instead of 9 with KJs, they tank fold haha. Must've spilled a bit of coffee or water but isopropyl alcohol seems to have fixed it. The other spew I didn't get so lucky, this guy donk triple barreled me with air then starts playing standard nitty and gets like 300bb from me before I see him giving up a normal bluff spot.
Sometimes I feel like I got caught red handed after some shenanigans, but this one reg/nit who plays a ton literally opens good hands to 3bb and everything else 2bb so maybe I can get away with more than I think.
Attemping the M part of MDA, should've gotten an SSD for this...
The drill setup, I'll do custom spots as well to practice probes/xr/delay usually
I've only been doing BB vs SB/BTN 3bp as BB, but a lot regs probably get close enough BvB pre

Thanks man, I haven't even had a $1k downswing, feel like I should lose more before 200nl
