Hello twoplustwo,

Started playing PLO couple of months ago at the 0.02-level, currently at the 0.10-level. I am still at university, and want to make some money on the side to save up for moving out next year. I think this goal (it is including rakeback) can be achieved consistently at 25PLO, so reaching that will be my first goal. Main reason for making this thread is accountability. There are ****loads of spots in which I don't know the correct play and just go with my guts. The journey of correcting that and become a player who actually knows what he is doing will be recorded here. Will post graphs and difficult spots here. Not a storywriting hero so i'll stop here.

Zhe Graph since I started playing:

10PLO so far:

Had an exam which has to be passed in the first year, so haven't really had the time to put in a lot of hands until yesterday. Started playing Zoom while on waiting lists for the regular tables and really liked it. My focus is sooo much better with 5 Zoom tables then with 12 regular tables, only problem is traffic. Played several of my best sessions ever these last two days, thinking through every spot and not having as much 'what did my action really accomplish here'-thoughts after a hand.

results: regular and zoom 10plo

Good luck. Making $500 a month from microstakes PLO isn't hard at all, in fact it's quite easy. You should have no problem achieving your goal.

That's the beauty of PLO, it's mainly a feel game. Just go with your feel and instincts and you'll be fine. I consider myself a pure feel player, I don't know much about math, ev, or non of that bull****, and I'm raping these games.

Oh and stay away from Zoom. Just play the regular tables, they are much much softer.

That's a comforting thought! Is there a lot of difference between play at 10plo and 25plo? Need to get more comfortable multitabling regular tables, my screen can only hold 6 at full-size and 9 semi-tiled. How do you arrange them?

The heater @ Zoom continues, people were just throwing money in the air and, I was there to collect it.

Stumbled on a bit of a spot in this session with AAxx, the hand where a lot of money is being lost by most beginning players(including me) when coming from NoLimit.

The hand:
Poker Stars $0.02/$0.05 Pot Limit Omaha Hi - 6 players - View hand 2341487
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

BTN: $2.50
Hero (SB): $10.70
BB: $6.27
UTG: $23.54
MP: $4.97
CO: $4.98

Pre Flop: ($0.07) Hero is SB with Q 3 A A
1 fold, MP raises to $0.10, 2 folds, Hero raises to $0.35, 1 fold, MP calls $0.25

Flop: ($0.75) 6 8 7 (2 players)
Hero checks, MP bets $0.35, Hero folds

In itself this is not very special, and I know i made a mistake of raising pre.
But suppose we're in position, and the hands goes like this, what would the thought-process be and wat would you do?
spots like these come up a lot in different formats at these stakes since many people limp and then call.

Not much difference if you table select. Just bigger stakes.

I have a 23inch screen so I can 9 table without overlay. I usually overlap a little bit and do 10-12 tables.

Don't worry about losing with aces, it's gonna happen a lot. My biggest pots lost are all aces, but my biggest pots won are all aces too.

3betting pre is not a mistake here, I do it 100% of the time.

The flop here is ugly for sure but I would c-bet/fold just to prevent from getting bluffed. When you check here, villain has a green light to bet 100% of the time and get you to fold your hand. But if you're a beginner, check/folding here isn't too bad either.

If we're in position, then of course we bet 100% of the time.
