The DooDooPoker Experience The DooDooPoker Experience

01-21-2024 , 02:20 PM
It's long past due I made one of these things but I move at a snails pace so that's pretty typical for me. I need some accountability in my life and thought it would be fun to get out of the Microstakes Forum Cave for a bit (I live there if you didn't know.)

There will be a separate post with a long history of my poker experience since its inception but I'll save that for another day, here is my current history.

I joined Metagame in June 2023 after being impressed with Saulo's YT videos. Since joining I played 50/100nl for a few months but have been trying to establish myself at 200nl. I have around 45k hands so far, and although I still don't feel 100% comfortable at these stakes, we are settling in.

Graphs or GTFO.

I've been stuck in this MDA craze ever since I bought Patrick Howard's Ether. That was in late 2021. I'll be posting random theories and data in this thread whenever the mood strikes me. I really just wanted a place to put all my thoughts and I think this forum is the perfect spot, let's get established at 200nl and try to make some money at this crazy crazy game.

I think this turn spot is super interesting, I'm pretty sure jamming is way better than calling in practice. I know B30-B100F frequencies are 48% in these positions and I'm pretty sure GTO is lower so I think it might be overfolded. Either way, just wanted to leave it here to think about for tomorrow. Gnight

Thanks, yeah I just play on Ignition. The games are softer from what I've heard and I managed to get a sweet deal on rakeback (30%).

What is the difference between metagame and Brazilian Poker Crew?

Looking forward to hearing your long poker backstory.

If you want to make money playing online poker, my advice would be move to a geofenced pool.

It's the same company but I'm in Metagame World which is English Speaking, I think the original one was all in Portuguese but Saulo expanded to English.

Yeah I hear you on moving into a geofenced pool but I'm trying to focus on the process of learning right now, I still study more than I play.

Will update at 50k hands.

Interested in how they handle mental game. I understand you interview with a psychologist. How often do you meet with the psychologist once on the team?

Yeah we have to interview with a psychologist to get into the program. He gives you a multiple choice test and tells you how you scored, it's basically an aptitude test.

I want to go find that test now I can't remember where it is.

The whole psychologist on the team is a bit misleading imo.

Yes you can see him but you have to pay for it. It's not like the psychologist is part of the 55% you pay them out of your winning's every month. I can see my own psychologist if I want to see one under my health insurance for free so why would I go see their psychologist that I have to pay for.

I have other gripes too but in full transparency, I'm not the model CFP student at all. I study a **** ton (this is actually why I think group coaching is basically a waste of time) but I put in low volume so while I make them money, I probably make them much less than other people.

Okay back to being positive.

You pay them 55%?
That's pretty insane. How long do you have to keep paying?
01-27-2024 , 05:32 PM
Back in the day they used to have "well" threads and you'd be more than qualified to have one imo. I'm glad you're doing this.

Looking forward to your adventure!

I heard it’s getting overrun with colluders in the last 6 months. Are you still finding it profitable?
01-28-2024 , 07:32 AM

I don't know if you want to hear my thought's on this because it's very aggressive.

First off, colluders are complete cowards in life and poker so once you understand that you can literally crush them.

I love how people think that just because you know 2 hole cards you can somehow crush me in the game I fuc.kin sold my soul to dominate in. That will NEVER FUC.KIN HAPPEN EEVER.

This is literally how I feel. Please try to cheat me. Coward Colluders are first of all:

1. Low IQ (you need to cheat because you suck at the game)

2. You think because you know 2 cards and somehow think I'm capped in a spot you can 1 up me? LOL please try me. ILL BURY YOU.

3. If I ever see someone doing some goofy stuff with somebody else they will get hard exploit and they act like exploits are a 1 way street. It goes both ways you god damn mouth breather, I literally can't wait for you to try some bullshit on me I will literally bury you.

Okay my fault I'm a little drunk I just hate cheaters and if they try to pull bullshit on me, they die 1000000 deaths.
01-29-2024 , 01:05 AM
Aha. Let it out bro.
01-29-2024 , 01:39 AM
A coward dies a thousand deaths. A soldier dies but once.

Thanks ZK. Yeah it's 55% up to the first 25k and then it goes down to 50% I believe.

I don't think I'm going to make it though since my volume is too low, I will probably be getting kicked out soon

Okay I might need your Hand2Note expertise on this next spot I am deep diving. BvB spot

HH in question:

My Hand2Note data from my CFP for this sizing scheme:

Now I go to filtered data on Flush Complete River and we notice something that is not intuitive.

I talked to Tom (tombos21) about the sample size to see if it was just noise but he said it is likely that there is something to this.

This means we should be calling down flush complete rivers on 2-tone boards more often than Rainbow boards, that is a big discovery. I'd also like you to check on your data to see if you get something similar.

Incoming 50k hand update tomorrow!

Makes sense BvB specifically, because SB has so many offsuit hands preflop to bluff with. You have to station hard BvB, especially on Iggy with the CFP animals bluffing infinite combos.
