I'm playing 6NL, am a super fish, and by November 2012 I want to be a competent second level thinker playing mathematically correctly vs an assumed range (which will almost definitely be completely off, but I'm ok with being right about something wrong for the time being, it's better than being wrong about something wrong I guess hahaha). This means I need to understand and apply pot odds, pot equity, fold equity, basic hand reading, combinations, be very comfortable with basic quick arithmetic. I want to be able to spot when implied odds allow me to call and when it does not. I also want to be able to be comfortable with the basic maths behind value-betting and semi-bluffing.
Also, I'd like to start working on tilt control now. I ordered a copy of The Elements of Poker on ebay, and will read it at 7:00 in the morning every Saturday and Sunday until at least 8:00 (that early because I wake up that early for some weird reason).
I'd also like to have 8 posts on this thread by November that covers the exercises I've been doing to get the math down, the concepts I've read about as well as my thoughts on the hand history I will post up on where-ever most people will see.
Just because I get the sense that some people here get a little too excited when it comes to quibbling over semantics, no I don't expect my math and inner game to be perfect in 2 months haha I just thought the title was cool
