Hi...

Standard story... been playing poker since I was 7. Graduated college and went into corporate finance. Currently I do not need to work... so I have more time to play.

I will be posting results here as well as any interesting hands or questions. I live about 3 hrs from closest legal poker room... I don't play online. Hoping to play one session per week.

Using this thread to keep me accountable and honest about win rate.

Best to all

I would suggest looking into playing online. I live about 2 hours from the closest legal poker room except from the occasional bar games i've made a habit of playing in, regardless nothign like a 12 hour day playing full ring live and having a loosing day due to variance, if I was you i'd look into playing atleast some online. you didnt say what you play but if you're playing like 1/3 nl you should be fine at 25nl. Also if you look at volume. why drive to the casino and play a bunch of regs when you can bum hunt online a few hours a day during the week. either way good luck

Hey thanks for the advice!

I definitely agree with you, but I have little experience online. I don't currently use a HUD so even the micro games would be a learning curve.

I just moved to my current location from northern California. The games there were tough, but not impossible, to beat. Everyone at the table at least had a basic understanding of the game.

I have never seen anything like where I play now...... and that's all I'm gonna say. I usually play 1/2 but here I am more then comfortable playing 2/5 or 5/10. The winnings are offset by drive time, etc.... but feel the winrate makes up for this..... or so I hope.

Best of luck to you!!!!!!
