Yo, my name is CyboGibbs and I'm taking my shot at being a professional poker player. I started playing poker early this year and have put in around 1200 hours of live poker mostly between MGM National Harbor and Harrahs New Orleans. I've been playing full time poker for about half a year, mostly playing live at Harrah’s New Orleans. So far I’ve been a small winner and I’m motivated to increase my edge. I’ve kept track of all my sessions via Poker Income and I’ll be posting graphs etc.

I hope this thread will be entertaining and informative as I’ll post some of the crazy and interesting spots that I encounter playing low stakes live at various locations in the southern U.S.

My background is that I’m in my early to mid 20’s and I have a bachelors degree in what is essentially data analytics/statistics/finance. Several years back I was close to being a professional in the video game League of Legends when the parent company Riot flew my team to Los Angeles in 2013 for their first ever professional league qualifier and we finished 9-12th out of 16 teams when top 5 teams went on to join their professional league. I was ranked in the top 10 in the game and played for teams such as Cloud 9 in online qualifiers so I was good at the game for a pretty short period of time and ended my shot at being a pro gamer when I left for college.

I’m going to be posting my graphs of win rates on various days, locations, months, etc., but first I just wanted to create this thread because I keep procrastinating on doing so. Right now I’m a modest winner so far playing 700 hours and netting $11 an hour. About to head out to go play, if anyone has any suggestions for anything they would like to hear from me or any comments it would be appreciated. I don’t anticipate much feedback at first and I’m mostly creating this thread as a diary of sorts, as this month has been my worst month by far and I feel this will help me reflect on my past and get some feedback from the community on obvious mistakes I’m making.

I'm about to head out for a Friday night session.. I woke up about an hour ago and plan on grinding for a while. I'll come back and post a report on the session and perhaps some of the data on my past sessions. Thanks and good luck to y'all.

I have just one question for clarification. You say 1200 hours and then 700 hours. Are you cutting out the first 500 to get the $11/hr?

May all your decisions be +EV!

Yes, I don't have the data saved from my earlier sessions at MGM National Harbor. I'm going to post the data I have so far in this post.

My next couple of posts are going to show what time I start my session, what time I end my session, my buy in and cash out amounts and I'll go into an in-depth analysis of all of the notable hands. I've played two sessions since my original post and I recorded all of the notable hands so I just have to type it out. My plan is at the beginning of every month I'll repost some of my overall stats and I'm going to have a reflective post on every session, sometimes I'll be posting several sessions in a row however.

Edit: I realized I ****ed up on not embedding these photos properly and I didn't even include the line graph. I'm about to head out for a third session since my initial post, my plan is to come back and fix these images and include the line graph and an update on all of my sessions.
