How are you only getting 20%? Isn't it closer to 30? Is he really folding all straightening turns?

we hit 9/46, so 20% we hit turn. I'm assuming we can get a 70% pot sized bet in and then fold getting 10:1 on the river if it pairs the board. I think if we pot, he folds.


I think this last session was my biggest, could check back a couple pages and find out, but too lazy.

Finished reading Elwoods Reading Poker Tells. Good read, tons of great info on live reads. Better than Caro's book. Started reading fountainhead. Heard many good things. I need to read with dictionary open in another tab, most pages have at least a word I don't know..

Spent a couple hours listening to biggerpockets real estate podcast. Learned about short sales. Spent an hour listening to someone talk about properties under 30k, cool stuffs. Listening to another now.

Hopefully PLOz gets going tmrw @ the bike. May have to play the plo commerce game.

4 cards in our hand + 3 cards on flop + kk/jj/kj in opponents hand = 9 known cards.

12/43, won't be this good since he's more likely to have high cards paired with his hand. Still can't imagine it's under 25%z

Ah your right, somehow I missed 3 outs, whoops. Your right about the discounting too. ~2.5 are discounted due to his super narrow range. So yeah, call is def best with those numbers.

Played a hand vs a reg today live that I liked:

hero ($2400ish) should have taggy image to reg. I'm not entirely sure how he views me, probably thinks I bet too much.

I fold fairly quickly and villain is confused

Villain looks at my chips and exclaims he thought that I was ~allin with my $425 raise and didn't realize I had 3 $500 chips in my stack. Claims he had KK+gutshot. Sigh, how do I seem to always run into these hand mis-read or stack mis-read situations that cost me monies. My play would have worked perfectly against his actual hand. It just really seemed like he was b/f'ing like 50%+ here and my range probably has lots of QQ/JJ while he has very little (esp when I block QQ).

Not sure how much credit my float gets though vs this villain. I floated with top set vs a reg with online history the other day and got c/r/gii on the turn vs a pair+FD. Not sure exactly how he thinks, but he does seem to fold to aggression with a high % (standard of live regs).

Between that and a fairly large hand with limon and several small pots lost to a fish I was down $1368 over 2 hours. Played 3 hours online, ending bal $2619

10.75 hours live. Game varied between a 3 and 8. I got into some interesting spots where I decided to rep thin with very strong lines (all were bluffs) vs what I perceived as weak ranges. Took down all except one. (where villain slow played the nuts and I almost backdoored him hehe).

edit: Just wrote a bunch of strat stuff, but.. I'm pretty sure a couple LA regs read this/know who I am/don't mention it.. so I'm just going to abstain from sharing my thought process and leaks in general that I've been seeing at the table.

I'll say this: Level of play in live PLO is still miles behind PLO100 online, but LA regs/fish are quite a bit better than most other places I've played. Thankfully there are some massive donating whales, too.

Also played 2 hours online yesterday, 3300 ending bal (+$1k? wtf-- I think maybe I cleared a bonus or something, felt like I won a couple hundred).

Are live games better than bovada 100? If so, lol.

You can't see games that are full, so you just have to wait around and snap-join games when they open up.

Meta talk: I tend to use consistent open sizes that are unique to me at the bovada tables. I'm pretty sure it gives away I'm the same player on several tables. Is giving that info away more valuable than having open sizes vary ~1bb pre based on shortstacks/position ?

I feel like I should start potting mostly from btn/co vs full stacks to conceal identity

As far as goals though..

Volumaments are close to on pace. 81 hours live, 22 hours online. 64.4% of volume goal, 61.3% done month.

Did 2:45 minute plank (3:30 is goal), way over 1min/1min on warrior 2, 16 seconds on handstand thingy (goal was 10 seconds), 14 seconds on bridge (30 seconds is goal).

finished 1 book, not going to finish fountainhead. I think its like 800 pages -- I'm about 15% through. If I get to 50% that would count as [x].

Girlaments slacking per usual. Bleh.


Been spending a bunch of time listening to real estate investing podcasts and checking zillow/CL in tampa. Want colombia, but want to buy house. Ahhh.

Games in vegas have been pretty meh. I've chatted with some regs and supposedly have a pretty bad sample, but games aren't that great from what I can gather... 1/2/5 at V is softer than 2/5 aria, but the game plays smaller.
