yeah had some crazy swings in nl25
i played pretty well but got out while i still had a roll!
played 1.5k already today and its only ~4PM which is good since im going out to eat and prob drinking then too.. my internet has been fuzzy at home so as long as i have internet i will easily hit 3k hands today!
I was inbetween betting and checking to induce but after noticing over a smallish sample that his vpip/pfr stats were almost even i figured he might be floating me so check with the intentions to see how much he bets and decide what to do. I think betting is fine tho since he can have ace/king high some of the time as well as fd's. Also, when we check/call we have 2 streets to decide what to do.
also, its funny you mention my preflop size b/c i am someone who varies his UTG sizing. sometimes i might 3x/pot size (3.5x)/or 4x.
Preflop: Hero is CO with K K
UTG+1 raises to $0.30, 3 folds, MP3 raises to $0.86, Hero raises to $2.20, 3 folds, UTG+1 raises to $10 and is all-in, MP3 folds, Hero calls $7.80
Flop: ($21.01) 4 4 A (2 players, 1 is all-in) Turn: ($21.01) K (2 players, 1 is all-in) River: ($21.01) 3 (2 players, 1 is all-in)
Spoiler:
Results: $21.01 pot ($1.05 rake)
Final Board: 4 4 A K 3
Hero showed K K and lost (-$10 net)
UTG+1 showed A A and won $19.96 ($9.96 net)
Yeah, I've seen this. It's very good if your sizing depends on the table (your opponents/the blinds/...) and not only on your hand value.
For me, I like to vary my sizing based on ppl in the blinds or anyone in LP that may be giving me problems. Generally if i have a plan to 4b them as a bluff if they 3b me a particular hand ill make the sizing bigger, if i plan on folding if someone 3b me ill make my sizing smaller, and if blinds are fishy ill make it 4x etc..
Results: $11.25 pot ($0.56 rake)
Final Board: Q 9 K 4 6
Hero mucked Q Q and lost (-$3.60 net)
BB mucked and lost (-$3.60 net)
UTG mucked and won $10.69 ($7.09 net)
very aggro history preflop but first time i 4b him, really odd line but i let him have it, im not going broke in a 4b pot with tp terrible kicker in a situation that i prob get in 1 out of 10k hands
Well, what about then a river card <= 9?!? Why are they better then a Q if villain has 9x?
woah that totally slipped my mind
yeah any Q's/9's are terrible rivers and would not barrel em but all other cards are good imo. also villain doesnt always have 9x but majority of the time he does. sometimes i might barrel and he rivers 2p since im barreling all high cards/most cards but i think its unlikely that will be the case since its a limped pot.
i was so busy today and its only ~9PM but my internet is sooooo bad right now, it takes like a minute to load up a page or refresh ughhh
i guess ill just watch some dexter
i mixed nl4 with nl10 b/c of my internet but my last session i had top set on a mono board and i timed out since my connection was fuzzy
just checked my monthly stats and noticed my 3b is 7.5% which is pretty good imo bigger than it normally is but when i played nl25 my 3b was 19.6% over 2k or so hands. I would say realistically my 3b is 6% for 4nl/10nl over 15k hands this month which is still good imo. im also 3bin more IP oppose to in SB/BB which is more logical and effective. I would say so far im playing 12-16 tables pretty well. I think I need to adjust some cbets in 3bpots.. not sure if im cbetting too much or not but it feels like it. Might just be variance but i feel like so many people have been flatting my 4bs when my sizing is double their 3b. Its never pleasant when your bluffing and flop a pair in a 4bp with initiative and not a clue how to react lol. Live and learn.. glglgl @ the tablessss

today was god awful
everything went wrong.. all 3bp's, my cbets, my bluff raises, my barreling, and of course running bad in general. i must admit i did make some spike calls but its going to happen time to time. i am just glad i didn't go off and go on monkey tilt.
Spoiler:
after todays outing, on pace for 68k hands this month.. keep it going!!

BB mucked and lost (-$0.50 net)
back home and charging the laptop now and gonna shoot up hopefully a 2k hand session
K9--> it does suck that I am OOP but I am getting great odds and if we get to SD i get valuable info on his 3bing range that I can use to refine his ranges later in the session. Even if I play fit or fold postflop this preflop call should be at least breakeven imo. Our hand shouldn't play too bad against all broadways+midPP-AA anyway i dont think.
72--> this hand was kinda tough b/c villain was a complete unknown. i think folding flop is too nitty against most players. most players should be raising their tp type hands on this board as i would take the same line if i had bottom pair in this spot but this guy doesn't know that. i thought river i should check with the intentions of folding to a shove and calling a hp/smallish bet. however, i thought he had alot of tp type hands and i could take the line i just described or donk shove and put him in a tight spot where he will have tpmk or w/e and make his life hard. i dunno i might have butchered this hand on the river but that was my thought process.
blah another bad start to the day.. already played 2k hands and in the red again
i think i misplayed a couple hands think im gonna drop down a few tables and experiment with the amount of tables to find that perfect amount for myself.
most interesting hand imo. i love these spots so much fun. but okay totally non-standard 3b for value ever but this guy is a reg who was overadjusting to my recent 3bs i guess since my 3b was 10-12% forget the exact %. Howver, in the very last hand he flatted my 3b w/ A6o so I think this is a perfect spot to 3b for value here. My plan was to bet/fold but when he makes it this sizing and the fact that he adjusts poorly just got my wheels turning. I think a 3b on this texture is absolutely terrible i mean he'd prob fold cuz hes most likely weaktight but i rep nothing so i figure i could call and see what happens. OTT- there is no reason to make it big cuz i should be betting what i would do if i had a really strong value hand and theres nothing he can do. checking back turn is meh cuz we risk him catching a pair or risk facing a very hard decision if he bets.
i really wasn't sure what to do here. i think folding is weak but kinda meh and not really sure what he is repping. what would u do? his ft3b is 38% and donk 20%
id like to think i made a pretty good fold here even after rivering a straight but i think he has a boat such a high percentage of the time after he pots it
ugh its so annoying playing all of these hands and still running bad
can't stand it but tomorrows a new day maybe another 5k hands or so i dunno i'll see
Preflop: Hero is CO with A K
MP folds, Hero raises to $0.35, BTN raises to $0.60, SB folds, BB raises to $2.20, Hero raises to $10 and is all-in, BTN calls $9.40, BB folds

Spoiler:
Results: $22.25 pot ($1.11 rake)
Final Board: 4 2 4 5 5
BTN showed Q A and won $10.57 ($0.57 net)
Hero showed A K and won $10.57 ($0.57 net)
