Hello 2+2, here's a thread i decided to make this morning after stumbling across the PGC forum, lots of really great stuff in here and decided to make my own as they seem to open up alot great poker discussion.

Looking to just study hard, play a bunch, an beat any stake i can for at least a few cheeseburgers Starting with 156$ at 10NL on pokerstars, not a great BR i know but i have normal job so don't mind getting busto'd too much, but really wanna get good enough to play a bit higher to supliment income.

Also enjoy a challenge so decided to start a progress blog to post poker/life musings, hands, accomplishments and the like. Hope you guys enjoy...

Played a few short sessions today, 900 odd hands - went pretty well, up a few buyins but obv too small sample to post any results of any meaning. Will post a few hands though get to the blog rolling...

Was thinking about my C-bet strategy for ace high flops, and how to balance some bluffs / barrelling opportunities. In this hand button is 23/21 reg (small sample no 3B stats so really hard to disect his range) and BB is a 23/16 regfish with a low 3B. Both have a decent number of aces in their PF calling range in this spot, but do they have enough to make a C-bet bad here? Have always leaned towards giving up these spots, but my recent investment in flopzilla/ cr ev has opened up some interesting analysis.

Preflop: Hero is CO with Q K
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, BTN calls $0.30, SB folds, BB calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.95) A 5 7 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero ?

Things that i think make a cbet good here could be -
backdoors - lots of nutty ones.
decent villains have hard time calling down 3 barrels with weak top pair
we win when they have air / mid pocket pairs and we barrel.

Would be keen to here peoples thoughts on this spot.

Been playing a few sessions - up and down but not maintaining enough focus/ not consistent enough. Defo making a bunch of silly small mistakes. Had a tough session this morning that i played really well in (made bunch of tough folds), then a great sesh tonight won 5 buyins but followed by it up by a doobee on the balcony then a few drooler sessions where i made some mistakes. Gotta stay away from that stuff while i'm playing. Time to review, relax, revive and come back tomo stronger.

    Results so far...

Hand from today was planning on jamming all brick rivers, put the guy on tilt with this one I think given how long he tanked turn a riv jam for almost pot would be decent given he never has a flush and can have a bunch of KhX AXh hands he should fold ...

After my last post i got a blue screen of death on my computer, and that was that, computer went full busto, processor was not worth keeping apparently but main reason was the hard drive died. So after a little panic got on the phone and spent some cash on a new rig - took last 4 days getting together the replaqcement parts, which i actually built with a friend yesterday. So am now rocking a smooth new dual SSD fast as you like desktop computer. About to go test her out at the tables, have a new database ready to go, lets get it on...
