Played the 7pm $35 today at Greektown. Bought in for the dealer appreciation $5, plus a $10 bounty

I got off to an excellent start, just like last tournament. A few hands in, I picked up AK. Some chick opened for 800, and 3 callers saw the flop of 3A3. She did a continuation bet of 1200, I call and the rest fold. Turn came and we both checked. She checked to me on the river, I bet out about 700, she called and turned over QQ.

This was a major pot, and I won a few other decent sized pots to get a very nice stack, I believe I was chip leader for a while. Had well over 100 bb's, about 2.5X the average stack in the room

Then, disaster came again. Just like before, I got sucked out on in a major way. Blinds 200/400. I'm dealt J9 out of position, called a rasise for about 1k. Heads up to the flop, we see 8106. I check and the guy moves all-in for almost 8k. I had to call with the mother of all draws, when I do he tables J7. Unbelevable, yet another god-awful, mind-boggling all-in from some random donk that I have to deal with. He sees that he's dominated and starts getting up, turn comes a 4, river comes 9. Just wow. Another 2-outer on the river, what kind of bad luck is this? I guess that's what it will take to bust me, because I don't usually play bad

Had a shorter stack but nothing to bad, waited for my double up hand and picked up two 9's. Shoved pre-flop and got call by the bad-beat guy with Qs. The queens held and I busted


How long is this bad luck going to continue?

No help unless I know what hands you're referring to. Styles are all different, there is no right or wrong one. It's what works for the individual
