Hello everyone,

I played a lot over the last years without real goals. So I jumped from limit to limit, from cash games to SNGs...

Now I wanna start to play more structured. Thought about starting at $.25/.50 limit 6max. Played about 17k hands until now at this limit. Ok, not a really big sample size but maybe a hint that i can beat this limit. Have +2,61BB/100 there until now with a 1k downswing last days. So I've benn even better before this down swing. But well I know, the sample size isn't big enough to say that I am really good at this limit. But I also bought SSHE and I am working on my skills to move up soon.

Now my question. Is $.50/1 much harder to beat than $.25/.50? Whats about swings at this limit at 6max? What do I have to take into account there? My biggest downswing at $.25/.50 was 1,2k hands with $-90.
Are swings at $.50/1 about double as high as at the limit below? Or is it much more swingy because of the better opponents?

And last but not least, whats about table selection? Is it worth very much at low limits? Or would it be enough to choose mediocre tables?

I hope for help. My first post here. And sorry guys, my english really isn't best...

Hi
you cant jump from limit to limit etc.
you need a structure. Play cashgame.
start at 2nl. If you re good enough for 50nl, 2 nl should be a piece of cake(easy) for you right?
play at 2nl until you ve turned your 20$ deposit into 100$.
move to 5nl at this point and build your roll to at least 200$. Again this should be easy if you can really beat 25nl.
with 200$ you can move to 10nl..etc..
the goal is to have 20 buy-ins to move up stakes.
this is called bankroll management. It is designed to prevent you from being a depositing "fish"
This is how poker is played
